COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you’ll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

Black, hoppy enough, somewhat sticky. Not as impressive as Storm King from Victory but not bad. Rich, smooth and balanced. Recommended.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Black-colored, not completely opaque. Aroma of chocolate, a bit of dark fruits, some licorice notes and a bit of alcohol notes. Sweetish flavor with chocolate, some roastiness and a pretty dry finish. Medium-bodied. Quite light for an Imperial Stout, but still a decent one.

Solid stout this, very smooth with Coffee and some dark chocolate. However, lacks the big flavours and some aroma of the very good imperial stouts.

Gorgeous stout. Pours beautifully almost black yet full of rich colour. Nice head, super smooth and lots of chocolate and coffee. Very easy drinking for a beer that is so full and rich-silky smooth even though you’d expect it to be heavy with so much flavour. Yum.

Bottle pour opaque black with brown tones. Nose of coffee and roast. Taste initial dark fruit, coffee, dark chocolate, and roast, close to burnt. Nice mouthfeel and bitter finish.

Bottle. 4/8/13. Pours oily and dark as night with a thin yet somewhat resilient brown head. Aroma is vanilla, banana, candi, floral, grass, wood, roasty, nutty. Taste is boozey, chocolate (truffles), lots of dark fruit, berries, spicy, nice bitterness; dark chocolate finish. Well-balanced. Nice lacing. Mouth feel is thick and creamy; coating. Medium-low carbonation; works. Really nice; can’t complain too much about any element in particular. What struck me most was the aroma. This beer smells amazing. Not to take anything away from the taste, appearance, etc. The aroma was my favorite experience here.
