Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you'll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

Nice dark roast in the aroma. Flavor is slightly reminiscent of rootbeer and cola. A wee bit thin in the palate, but not bad, overall.

Pours black with a bit of brown head. Aroma of malty chocolate with a touch of fruit. Flavors of chocolate and roasted coffee with that dark fruit lingering in the background. Surprisingly good imperial stout.

Fruiting into roast...thin head...atop a black body. No watery ship down. Consistant. Black cherry chocolate malt. It is not too strong at the begining or too weak at the end. Weyerbacher seems to have a sweetness..without the dank, cheesy taste/aroma of Belgium. The aroma hits the nose outside the glass, the oilyness adds class. The hops is just a hall pass, to finding the jewel inside the glass.

Pours pitch black with a creamy chocolate head. Dark, rich malty aroma with vinous, chocolate, espresso, and caramel notes. The taste is very strong on the chocolate and roasted malts, without being overbearingly burnt tasting. Espresso, cocoa, and dark fruit background. Long, roasty finish. The mouthfeel is full, rich, slick, and oily. You know you’re drinking a stout with this beast.

Bottle. Pours nearly black with thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, light roast. Flavor is again chocolate, coffee, roast, caramel. Palate is medium to full bodied, mild carbonation, finished bitter. Decent stuff.

Pours almost black with a thick tan head that quickly fades into a ring. Aroma of roast and dark chocolate. Flavors much the same. Medium carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Very nice impy stout.
