Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you’ll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

Cool light brown and creamy foam. It does not last as long after pouring, but leaving small islands of foam on top. It leaves beautiful lace on the side of the tube and has an incredible enticing aroma of hard roasted malt and chocolate. The taste is malty of the aforementioned hard roasted malt, but it also brings some coffee notes and dark bitter chocolate notes. Hop bitterness is gentle and leads to long finish. A little smoked character is finally in flavor nuances and it is an imperial stout that is incredibly delicious and very good.

Pours an opaque black from the bottle with fluffy tan head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of coffee roast and sweet chocolate, hint of soy. Taste follows, awesome dark roast and chocolate notes. Solid imperial stout with minimal booze.

35.5cl bottle, served in Snifter. Pours black with beige head. Aromas of sweet malts rather than dark ones, licorice and a slight touch of smoke. Taste is roasted malts, coffee and licorice. Moderate bitterness on the palate. Medium/full body, good carbonation. Not bad, just a little bit too sweet.

Look - Nice black body and medium tan head with aggressive pour. Thick bubbled head. No lacing. Smell - Coffee. Chocolate. Malt. Caramel. Belgian? Taste - Malt. Chocolate. Caramel. Coffee. Dirty. Alcohol is prominent at the end. Feel - Creamy and heavy. Carbonation throughout but not a bomb. Overall - A good imperial stout with little over the top features. Can’t really complain with that.

4 oz. draft at the brewery in Easton, PA. Opaque black color with tan head. Aroma notes of roasted malt, cocoa, light coffee, smoke and faint dark fruitiness. Taste adds caramel, char, faint vanilla and earthy bitterness. Medium-heavy body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy, dry with bittersweet roast finish. Pretty solid, yet average, imperial stout. Great base for the bourbon barrel aging done later!
