This was very odd. I didn’t mind the cask conditioning applied to it (didn’t really kick the carb factor though or make it creamier) but the pineapple’s flavors seemed to tone down the yeastiness of the blanche along with some sourness. (my palatte is very sensitive as I’ve been ill since Easter so I taste everything).

Mar 29, 2008 Draft at Weyerbacher open house. Pours cloudy light gold color with a tiny white head. Aroma of spice, yeast and slight pineapple. Taste is very similar to the blanche, but lacked the full flavor of pineapple it could have had. Only a watery tinge of some pineapple, like watered down pineapple juice. Interesting idea.

Mar 29, 2008 From a firkin at the Weyerbacher Open House 2008. Pours a cloudy golden with little to no head. Aroma of Belgian Wit spiciness, pineapple, wheat and bready notes. Flavor of the same with the pineapple there. But this just really seemed like a watered down Blanche with pineapple flavor and low carbonation.

Mar 29, 2008 Draft. At Weyerbacher Open House. This is their Wit with furit - pineapple. Very low carbonation. Light yeasty character with a soft tropical frut feel. Flavor is weak, faint, with light fruit. Smooth but a very low flavor profile.
