COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Decent quad, even for a non-Belgian. Fruit-driven with flavors of raisin and dark fruits. Rich and unfiltered with a smooth finish. Alcohol is well hidden; it feels like there should be a bite at the end of the sip but it never comes. I was pretty surprised in the quality of this one. Good one for lovers of American barleywines.

Pours reddish brown with thin to no head, aroma is big dark fruit with raisins. Taste is dark fruit and sweet candi sugar leading into a alcohol burn that finishes sweet. Rather unbalanced, but still drinkable. Not bad for a quad.

Very nice Belgian nose. Smells of yeast, dark fruit, alcohol, spice, leathery at times. Fair label, tawny brew. You can definitely taste the alcohol, candy sweetness, buttery tones, peppery on the sides of the tongue. Raisins and fruitcake flavors. Finishes out with a sliding burn and warms the gullet. Faint herbal-medicinal qualities in the aftertaste. New Leaf Market.

Strong alcohol nose, even as it warms. Very strong taste that maybe I’m not quite used to. Would like to try again.

12 oz bottle. Pretty cloudy brown pour with a thin off white head. Aroma of apple cider and alcohol. Warm, alcohol taste dominates the flavor with hints of yeast, apples and brandy, Lasting finish, slightly harsh.
