COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Pours an elegant dark amber/copper with a small white head that vanishes quickly. Intense aroma of spiced apples, caramel, and alcohol. A nice creamy, heavy body that supports all of the flavors. This is a complex brew. Heavy cider taste, sweet and malty almost candy-like... highly alcoholic candy. This will warm your stomach nicely next to a fire on a cold night.

Red-amber pour with very thin head. Yeast and alcohol on the nose. Taste is fruity with a strong alcohol presence. Not bad, might improve with some aging.

Tasted at 2008 Woodshop hosted by cquiroga. Cool...another >10% rating. Amber color. Sweet. Hint of oxidation. Great.

(on bottle, thanx to Yngwie and Gunnfryd) Dried abricot and moulded esters. The taste is malty and full of blackberries. The 11% comes in very fast in the finish and totally ruins the palate, sugars and a burning alcohol all over.

Bottle @ thewolf tasting.
[thank you Yngwie/Gunnfryd]
Pours orange amber with a small creamy film head. Some slight lacing. Fine mouthfeel - though a bit thin. Aroma is very much yeast (very quad-like), lots of caramel. Flavour is very alcoholic and sharp. Some caramel. Far too much alcohol.

Poured from a bomber bottle. It was a cloudy amber / orange color with a thin head. The head disapated rather quickly to just a thin film. The aroma wasn’t too strong, but what there was was predominately alcohol and a little sweet. The consistancy was creamy and smooth with an initial sweet taste that was hard to distinguish.. It seemed like raisins and brown sugar and there was a definite alcohol taste that gave a little bite that mellowed to a warming feeling on the palate. I thought that there was too much alcohol coming through the other flavors. It needed something to mellow the alcohol and lightly mellow out the sweetness. Generally though very good!
