Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Shared 12 oz. bottle, poured to snifters, and showing a clear, copper hue, with a modest layer of off white/light tan, bubbly head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was sweet, lightly spiced, cherry, and tartness. The body was medium+ with soft carbonation, and alcohol that was mellow but warming. Smooth on the palate, not overpowering, but harmonious subtlety to the flavor notes.

Malty and slightly fruity...strong alcohol...not much else besides strong taste and malt

Very sweet, lots of brown sugar and Belgian yeast spiciness, maybe some ginger, and a hint of dried fruit. Not overly carbonated, but it seems to be almost "dancing", for lack of a better word, on the tongue. I can’t really describe the "dancing" mouthfeel, but I like it.

Pours an opaue amber/ruby with a thin tan head. Aroma has slightly boozy fruits...plum, prune, date. Flavor follows suit and adds earthy/leathery hops and light spice. Mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is dry, earthy/leathery, and spicy.

DandyWolfFloyd (641) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 30, 2014
Aroma - sweet dark fruited malt with spice Appearance - the body is deep caramel-colored, and with a tight white head about 3" high. It fades and is a halo after Taste - the beer tastes sweet, with dark fruit, spice, vanilla, and orange peel (perhaps curaçao) Palate - the body is more thin that medium. Texture slick. The carbonation average. The finish long and strong with that alcohol burn

Decent quad, acking some of the body and wine like characteristics of the original. Fark and toasty with some alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Poured with a dark amber color. This beer has notes of cinnamon with maybe a hint of cherry. Can really taste the alcohol in it although not complaining about that

Draft sample at Crossroads Spirits. Pours a hazy copper color with about a fingers worth of frothy beige head. Aromas of light dark fruits, candied sugar, turpentine, and lots of booze. Taste mimics the nose with lots of booze, caramel, candied sugar, and dark fruit.

Vintage 2009. Hazy amber with a thin white crown. Aroma is boozy and fruit with plenty of yeast, citrus and soapy notes. Taste the Belgian yeast up front with a copious amount of fruit and some fruity esters as well. A tad boozy and slippery but overall not bad.

glennmastrange (2368) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 31, 2013
Bottle. Moderate cookie and nutty for the malt, cooked orange for the hops, dough and broth for the yeast, with hints of raisin, toffee, allspice and cinnamon. Head is small, fizzy, off-white with some slippery lacing and diminishes to a small ring. Color is clear medium red. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a soft to lively carbonation. and a lightly alcoholic finish. Nice balance in both aroma and flavor in this tasty Quad.
