COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Draft @ Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford, CT. This moderately-bodied quad has a dark purplish-brown body with a tan head. Like most quads, this brew has a flavor predominantly profiled with dark fruit notes (dates, black grapes) with subtle spice notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. Not too difficult to drink, but this beer lacked the soft, pillowy texture of world-class quads.

deep amber with a tan head. Aroma is yeasty, a tart bakers yeast with slight spice and moderate caramel, slight cherry cough syrup, and boozy as it warms. Banana’s in there, well-infused. Medium-to-heavy bodied, syrupy, carbonation is on the lighter side for the style, and coarse. Flavor is boozy, spicy vegetation, slight light caramel, but well attenuated, a lot of non-sugar residual malt presence. Hot. Lingering bitterness and pine, slight cherry-strawberry. Not very good, a sipper that should be more appropriately called a slightly Belgian barley wine.

Ok beer. This Has a lot of strong flavoring so be prepared to maybe find some offense with it.

Bottle. Pours golden with a big foamy white head. Flavor is sugar sweetness with spice a decent hop profile. Not a typical tripel but still very good.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark shade of amber with an off-white head. Raisin and banana aroma, caramel, toffee, and earthiness. Flavor of raisin, red grape, some earthy flavor, molasses, and banana. Finishes with a semi-sweet cereal flavor. I’m quite enjoying this.

12 oz. bottle. Aroma features raisin, port, caramel, plum, candy sugar, and brown sugar scents. Alcohol and yeast smells noticeable. Aroma could stand to be stronger. Pours mostly clear but slightly cloudy. Large amount of suspended particulate. Bright, dark (is that an oxymoron?) copper in color. Small amount of beige head. The liquid looks great, but I’d like to see more head. Very sweet taste features caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, and milk chocolate. Perhaps a little too sweet but very flavorful. Really interesting flavors but too cloying. Full body. Smooth, oily, and lively in the palate. Very interesting texture and palate effects. The palate is a rare one that is worthy of a five. Weyerbacher Quad is a good, if imperfect, beer.

12oz bottle from a buddy from work. I love Quads and this one didn’t dissapoint one bit. Very nice deep amber color, with a quickly disappearing white head. Aromas are sweet malt, caramel, dark fruit, and some spice. Flavor is much like the aroma, sweet malt, caramel, fruit.

Creamy light brown head, dark murky rich brown color. Little lacing. Aroma of molasses, toffee, roasty toasty nuttiness and a little coffee. Rich and decadant with a touch of fruit - prunes & raisin notes with the toffee nut richness of it. Smooth creamy texture, moderate aftertaste. Lovely sipper.
