Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Amber with no head; sweet aroma notes of caramel and alcohol; Flava is blend of sweet sugary malt and hop spice and alcohol acidity; feels rich and thick but not sticky and some fizz; finishes long and semi dry with some hoppy and alcohol warmth in the throat

Quite good too. Very tasty and nice aroma. Some features of Belgian origin were there too.

Bottle - light pour. Deep ruby red color. One finger head of dark ivory appearance. Light carbonation. Intense aroma, particularly upon the pour. Dark fruit, light malt, and some alcohol on the nose, but to be expected for a 11.8% abv. Also sour cherry on the nose, particularly upon the pour. Way too watery and light on the palate for a quad, or any ale for that matter. Essense of dark fruit on the tounge, but is overpowered by the alcohol. Finish lingers with an enjoyable combination of raisin and cherry, again with alcohol presense. Overall, very disappointed with Weyerbacher on this one, especially after enjoying many of their other brews. Wouldja - No!

This one is almost overly malty, iím not getting a whole lot of hop notes, more of malt and alcohol profile. Itís alright, but just a bit too much like a sweetened alcohol than a beer.

12oz bottle from Baker. Thanks! A: Plum colored body with a quarter inch fizz. Bubbles are cascading through the top. Leaves noticeable legs on the glass. N: Lots of malt and prune and raisin. very bready. A hint of leather and tobacco. T: Bitter at the beginning with the bread and sweetness at the end. Has a bit of a twang. Isnít as much of a meal as it might be. M: Sturdy and coating. not as thick or creamy as the highlights of the style. Doesnít have any sting of alcohol. O: A solid stab at the style and something Iíd drink again, but I wouldnít kill for it again, either.

From a bottle. Pours cloudy reddish brown. Almost no head. Very smooth. Medium body. Very low carbonation. Smells sweet, hints of whiskey barrels. Tastes delicious, light hints of plum, raisin, apple, chocolate, caramel. Way too easy to drink.

Bottle pour clear copper. Nose of Belgian esters, banana, fruit, and clove. Initial taste of the same with significant sweetness, mild biscuit, and heat from the alcohol. Thick syrupy mouthfeel.
