Very impressed with this brewery. Pours a dark golden color with a white head. Has hints of dark fruits, spices, small aroma of bannanas. Finishes with a barrel aged taste of alcohol on the tongue. Thanks to dragonstout for sharing.

The aroma was sweet but not overly done. The flavor was full onslaught of the dark fruits with a mild sweetness. This was an above average quad. Finally an Amercan that does a Belgian style right.Big thanx to Beachbum for this

Bottle. Aroma of sweet malt, dark fruit and raisens. Flavor is pretty much the same; but I can also taste the alcohol and feel a little bit of its warmth. Maybe a little too much alcohol in this one, as the sweetness of the malt yields to a peppery alcohol flavor.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 alexsdad06 (2230) - Ohio, USA - MAY 6, 2007
12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small mostly lasting off white head. The aroma has a strong malt presence accompanied by a sugary sweetness. The flavor has much of the same. The malts are still there but now have some fruits as well as the alcohol joining them. The alcohol is not overpowering, but it is noticeably present. This brew is easy to drink as it goes down smoothly.

I am drinking that other quad you gave me right now. Aroma: very malty low bitterness (I always associated maltyness aroma with dates) First taste, is it sweet on the tounge, dry alcohol on the sides and back of the throat. Then a mild maltyness finnished off with a dry alchohal very mild malty finish. Mouth feel is pretty creamy despite the color of the beer (which is excelent). Overall I think it tastes like a higher alchohol Dogfish head but much smoother and without all the crazyness. I like it, but I couldnt drink it too often. Somthing to keep on the self when you are in that type of mood. Side note, burping releases no aromas or tastes, and are violent and short. Nothing to complain about.

bottle from adrian, thanks! it’s a reddish amber with low carbonation and a small head, leaving a thin ring at the glass but not much of a crown to this beer. aroma is heavily malty and estery with other yeast characteristics - plenty of cotton candy sweetness apparent in the aroma and subsequently the flavor as well. drier than the sweet aroma indicates, with a surprising dustiness and tropical fruity yeast. the huge alcohol element of a quad is barely noticeable, well-hidden behind a moderately impressive showcase of malt and yeast. a dessert treat for certain.

220z bottle from Florian’s. Amber-red hazy but translucent body with almost no head Smells like banana, nut, spice with a hint of alcohol. Tastes nutty, banana, and spice, with no alcohol flavor but a bit of alcohol warming. sticky thick mouthfeel that also lets on how much alcohol is in thie brew. Not quite like other examples of the style I’ve had, but really tasty an dpleasant, and more drinkable than expected.

Aroma is like banana and cleaning solvent. The color is copper and little head lingers. The flavor is malty, with hints of bubble gum and a brown sugar character. This is the first of the style I’ve tried and it’s very nice.
