COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

Smells like rum-soaked raisins. Could be more aroma on the yeast and malt. Kind of a pretty beer, with a reddish hue that glows in the bottom of the glass. An awfully lot of alcohol on the palate. Raisiny and a little sweet, like candy sugar, with streaks of herbal hop and a buttery, dense caramel/plum/raisin center. Raisin lingers on the palate.

On tap at the airport in ABE. Wow, this is big. Very big. Huge banana taste. Lots of sweet candied sugar flavors with hints of yeast and bread. Seems like more of an american version of the style over the better Belgian versions. It’s good, just hard to finish.

Poured from bottle into tulip glass on 2/22/14. Date on bottle read 11/06/2013. Poured light amber color with some head and lacing. Aroma was fruity, sweet and malty. Moderate carbonation. Taste consisted of dried fruits such as prunes, figs and raisins with yeast and a touch of tart. Went down easy for a nearly 12%. Very enjoyable beer on a Sunday afternoon. At a year and almost 4 months since bottling, this beer seems to cellar well.

2009 on tap at Romans. Aged well. Pours a lighter amber color and a wisp of head. No carbonation left. Taste is carmel sweet and smooth beyond belief. Excellent! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a hazy luminous brown with a creamy beige head that dissipates to a thin lace with a foamy ring around the edge. Aromas of banana, clove and fruity esters. Flavors are sweet banana, clove, grape, cinnamon, dark fruit, and crackery-biscuity tones. Finishes with a bit of chocolate and coffee. Slightly peppery mouthfeel; a little syrupy. Noticeable alcohol warmth. This is really very nice.

Bottle into a thermos type glass, shared while disc golfing. Quite fruity and moderate to heavily sweet with a fully body and a smooth, creamy feel. Rich and complex with dark fruits, light yeast, light caramel and toffee. Pretty good.

Bottle at home. Pours amber brown. Fast-receding head. Light, sweet aroma with notes of grape. Opens almost mild, with pleasantly smooth malt notes. Develops into well-balanced mix of malt and wild yeast, ripe apple. Warming, bitter finish with strong alcohol notes. Well-carbonated, rich mouthfeel. Potent brew, rich flavor.

Pours reddish-copper with brilliant clarity and minimal head. The aroma is bready and fruity with notes of plum and raisin. Tastes sweet and malty but not overwhelmingly so. Immediate warming from the alcohol. Flavors are molasses, caramel, fruit, and slightly of plum. It starts sweet and ends sweet with nice flavors, no bitterness, and high alcohol content. This one is definitely a sipper.

2011 bottle. Pours amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma is earthy, caramel, plum, roast and grapes. Taste is sweet with very faint tartness. Medium bodied with a thick and oily texture, very smooth. Excellent!

Bottle to wine glass. Pours deep red brown, descent khaki head, some lacing and retention. Aroma of molasses, banana and anise. Tastes is fairly sweet, medium sour. Full bodied, lively very small bubble carbonation, mouth feel is rather sticky. Finishes complex sweet and sour with notes of raisin, dates, candied sugar, ginger and cherry. Alcohol is well apparent but is not a distraction. A fine example of the style! Well done.
