Massively big and delicious, QUAD is an elegant and dark ale. Rich with complexity and flavor, try savoring it after a long day or during a fine dinner. You also might enjoy it as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to a dessert, but QUAD stands alone quite well. We recommend enjoying QUAD in a brandy snifter or wineglass so you can drink in the aroma of this fine elixir.

This one is almost overly malty, iím not getting a whole lot of hop notes, more of malt and alcohol profile. Itís alright, but just a bit too much like a sweetened alcohol than a beer.

From NOTES. A: Fruity malts and some grass and yeast with a little bit of bittering hops and a dose of alcohol. A: Pours a red slight orange and about a 1/4 inch of light tan head T: Follows the nose with dark fruits and a bit of hop presence and some yeast and farmyness for spice, but surprisingly missing some complexity. M: Medium body with very little carbonation and is very hot from the alcohol O: A decent quad that is good tasting but really does not stand out for the style.

Born on date of 11/18/2014, supposedly dead by date of 11/18/2019. This was poured into a chalice. The appearance was a ruddy red to brown color with transparent hues running around the bottom. A slim quarter fingerís white foamy head dissipated immediately. No lacing was left. The smell started off with a sweet caramel malt running into Belgian spices of light ginger, cinnamon, and clove. Cherry based sugar lightly shows up. The taste was moderately sweet and drawing in the spices to accompany and balance. A Belgian sweet and semi-spicy aftertaste leads into a quick sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a good sipping quality about it. Carbonated decently as a quad, spices tend to run along my tongue appropriately. Overall, Iíd say this was a pretty good quad. It hits everything its supposed to, Iíd have it again.

4 oz. draft at the brewery in Easton, PA; deep copper-amber color with off-white head. Aroma notes of caramel malt sweetness, dark fruitiness (plums, raisins, apricots), candy sugar and light spices. Taste adds bread, toffee, some molasses and more dried fruits. Heavy body, low-moderate carbonation, creamy, rich with sweet fruity finish. Itís a heavy quad, fun to sip slowly.

12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. Deep rich ruby body that froths almost over the rim of my St. Bernardus goblet. Whoah there. The head is impressive and reduces to a thin lace over the top of the beer that lasts throughout consumption. Bananas and booze. Some dark fruits, too, but totally banana dominated. I kinda like it, really. A bit of spiciness, too. The taste may not be complex, but itís so delicious. Again, the dark fruits are there with a banana flavor. Finishes with a dry spiciness that I donít altogether love, though. A good syrupy thickness that drops off to a dry finish. I donít really like that, itís uncharacteristic of the rest of the flavor. Low carbonation. Tasty up front with a disappointing finish.

Fig, raisin, dark fruit aroma with candy sugar. Taste is the same, full flavored but not sticky palate. Fairly balanced and has some great flavors, but low carbonation that dies fast. That low carbonation is the big detractor to the beer. Otherwise complex and flavorful and a nice quad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home thanks to Mac! Pours a dark amber, with a flash of head. Aroma is raisins, fruit, caramel, a bit of dates. Taste is caramel, dried fruits, raisins, faint honey and a bit of alcohol burn. Medium body, medium carbonation. Very good!

Deliciously smooth! Pours a pretty copper w/ a white head & good lacing. The aroma is robust w/ dark fruity Belgian notes. The flavor is of dark fruit w/ just a bit of bitterness in the very end. Itís medium bodied & a delight on the palate despite its potent 12%. Well done!
