mephisto (1083), Taiwan Jan 30, 2008 light copper hue topped with a thin layer of beige head, it has a intense aroma of clove, caramel, raisin, and chocolate. certainly a great infusion of many goodness. the flavor is also intense with myriad blends of fruits. very drinkable for its strenghth.
The_Epeeist (885), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 17, 2008 12 oz bottle, cellared about 9 months. Almost clear orange brown with some beige, bubbly edging. Nose is banana, raisin and booze. A bit syrupy with a faint tingle. Taste is toffee and apple brandy with a dry yeasty finish. Sweet and simple but easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Could age many years. Funknmilla (489), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Jul 16, 2008 12 oz bottle...reddish copper--beige head...you can smell the alcohol in the first whiff...also banana...malty banana...and a raisin/prune undertone....silky body with drippy lacing.....flavor---strong alcohol in the first burst...then some banana.....alcohol infused and candy tainted na na ...i even burb up some banana (which im a sucker for)-----Excellent pairing------homemade banana bread...it absorbs the alcohol and brings out the flavors in the brew....a stickiness left to the lips......very tasty and alcohol very well disguised daniellerose7 (119), new york, New York, USA Jul 14, 2008 I was not too excited about this beer- as a big Belgian/Belgian style fan, I don’t think that this compares to other quadrupels. The alcohol taste is a little too prevalent and there isn’t quite enough other flavor to back it up. But, the more I drink, the better it is. dunkpigen (243), Kolding, Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours orange with an offwhite head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and vinious. Flavour is very vinious, sweet and fruity. 1_2many (124), Ohio, USA Jul 10, 2008 Bottle. Uuhhh...I can’t say I consider this a Quadrupel. Has a malty aroma with the standard aroma and flavor of a Weyerbacher brew which I can’t place my finger on. I’ve recognized that distinct flavor with Blithering Idiot, Insanity, etc. and its getting old. This is a decent brew but I give it a lower score just because it is well below average in the Abt/Quad category and it reminds me of many others made by them.
