4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours reddish-brown with tiny white head which quickly dissipates. Aroma of malt, raisins with a hint of apple. Taste is similar to aroma, because that’s how senses work. Exceptionally smooth for a 12% brew.

"Dug this 12% brew. Not overly alcoholic. Deep aroma of brown sugar, dark fruit and hints at spice. Similar flavor with a dry yeasty finish. Nice brew."

Not much from the aroma, actually it’s a bit weak. Sweet malt, dark fruits, caramel . Very tasty. Medium to light mouthfeel light carbonation. I would buy this again.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Serving: 750 ml. bottle. Pours a ruddy amber color with a thin off white head. Nice dark fruit notes, particularly cherry. Some caramel and sweetness. The combination of sweetness, booze, and cherry reminds me a bit of cherry cough syrup, but it’s not entirely unappealing. Viscous body with a warming finish. Not bad.

Served on tap in a chalice glass
Appearance – Served a mahogany colored brew with ruby highlights shining through. The head was small upon the serving with it fading relatively quickly to leave only a light level of lacing.
Smell- The aroma is fruity and sweet with hints of a boozy aroma mixed within. Stone fruits comprise the bulk of the aroma, but are mixed with other smells of apple and pear. Some notes of caramel and brown sugar accompany the fruit as well as aromas of alcohol giving a warmingly sweet smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a fruit flavor that was detected in the nose. Cherry, plum, apple and pear are all present. These aromas are soon met with a Belgian yeast flavor accompanied as well by some notes of caramel and banana sweetness. Soon after this some boozy and spice flavors (mainly nutmeg and clove) work their way into the taste. While they start out more on the mild side they get quite strong by the end, where a boozy warming fruit spiced sweetness is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is rather thick and creamy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. A rather nice feel for all the dark fruit and boozy tastes of the brew accentuating the warming and spiced nature of the beer.
Overall – A sweet and tasty Belgian quad. Very much worth a try if you get the chance.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smooth pour with no head. Hazy appearance; dark amber-y brown. Light, sweet aroma, more delicate and airy than darker, heavier quads. Caramel, doughy notes on the tongue. A smoother feeling quad; although even stronger than the GD 4000, you would never guess it.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body under a minimal fizzy beige head that completely vanished rather quickly. The nose is super sweet with tons of fruitiness and a moderate alcohol vapor. Really intense aroma. The flavor is equally sweet with tons of candi sugar and a hefty fruitiness of plum and raisin. This really needs to be aged quite a long time so that the fruitiness and sweetness dies down some. I’ve had some very aged bottles of this and it greatly improves with long periods of aging. Sticky and clingy with lots of residual sugars, making it rather cloying. Soft minimal carbonation. Not bad, but no where near the Belgian classics, and short of quite a few
American examples as well.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pour the 12 oz bottle into my Belgian snifter, I see a clear red-brown ale with a small, bubbly and very short-lived head. Aromas of raisins and dates emerge, mixed with some alcohol esters.
Flavor: dark fruits, a hint of banana, traces of brown spices, fruity alcohol.
Feel: smooth and very gentle for 11.8% ABV, but warming.
O: a tasty Amer. quad with good complexity and balance, and a much higher ABV than the flavor indicates. .

bottle pour at least a few years on it..pours a medium brown red color..slight head and carbonation..nose is dark fruit laden with cherry...molasses..brown sugar soaked raisin...faint spice notes in there as well..mouthfeel is amazingly medium bodied for being an almost 12% beast..taste is a match to the nose that is not boozy at first..but does have some warmth on linger..pretty tasty but seems to be missing some depth and complexity...alright

Sample at the brewery. Pours brown with off-white head and decent lacing. Fall aromas--hay, brown sugar, sweet malts. Sweet malts, caramel, vanilla. Awesome.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Shared 12 oz. bottle, poured to snifters, and showing a clear, copper hue, with a modest layer of off white/light tan, bubbly head foam, and spotty lacing. The nose was sweet, lightly spiced, cherry, and tartness. The body was medium+ with soft carbonation, and alcohol that was mellow but warming. Smooth on the palate, not overpowering, but harmonious subtlety to the flavor notes.
