Commercial Description:
Enjoyed alone as a winter-warmer or as the perfect finish to any fine meal, our Raspberry Imperial Stout is a wonderfully full-flavored beer with just a "kiss" of raspberry flavor. Available in the Winter months.

zoo4 vintage 12 oz bottle shared with the Fight Night drinking crew and supplied by richlikebeer, thanks Rich. Pours a solid black with a slight brown head. Aroma has tons of raspberry, some slight plastic notes, hickory bbq sauce, roastiness. Thin to medium bodied with barely any carbonation remaining and a sliight touch of bitterness on the finish. Flavor is superior to the aroma with lots of raspberry, roastiness, chocolate. Not sure how much longer this one will last but it is still hanging in there nicely.

12 oz. Opaque chocolate with a large foam that sizzles down to a lasting ring. Aroma is cocoa, caramel and a hint of tart fruit. Flavor is chocolate-covered raspberry with a finish that progresses through the following flavors: caramel, molasses, coffee, charred wood, tobacco, and a touch of zesty green herbs. Medium-heavy body is both sticky and watery at times and tingly with a bit of dryness on the end. Pretty nice, but seems to be missing that something to push it over the top, and I can’t identify it. Maybe just a touch more of everything - body, roastiness, raspberry, hops, caramel malt.

Beautiful black pour with creamy brown head that fades. Nose of Chocolate covered raspberries with the slightest hint of alcohol heat. Flavor is predominantly chocolate. It comes off as a bit ’hot’ when it first hits the tongue, but alcohol is not evident otherwise. Medium body with fair carbonation. Aftertaste of roast and dark chocolate. Certainly gonna buy this again

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown, brown head that disappeared quickly. Aroma is a medicinal fruit flavor, malt, maybe some roast. Flavor is dominated by the medicinal raspberry, reminded me of really bad cough syrup from when I was a child. Could not finish, maybe a bad bottle ? Will have to re-rate someday.

Pours a dark brown/black with a nice tan head. Nice coffee, chocolate aroma and flavor, and a hint of raspberry in the flavor as well. Hides the 8% very well. Nice balance and easy to drink. Kind of sweet for an Imperial Stout.

Bottle, courtesy Ughsmash I believe. Pours a dark brown color, with a thick cocoa-colored head, and a fair amount of lacing. Chocolate and raspberries in the nose, which means candy corn, too. Some gritty chalkiness, too. Roasted malt flavors, chocolate, coffee. Raspberry comes through big in the finish, which is unique. Caramel is in there somewhere. Balanced well, easy to drink and well-made, although nothing spectacular. Perhaps they weren’t aiming for that.
