"this murky ruby brown brew doesn’t seem hot in any way, but it’s a little heavy and sticky for a wild ale, making me wonder is 11.4% really necessary. Heavy on the oak, with sour fruits and ample raspberry, though not overtly so. A good but not great sour (has just a touch a that baby diaper thing going on too). Lingering on the palate. Thanks Greg for the trade."

Bottle 2014. Pour is pinkish copper. Awesome sour aroma with raspberries and wood. Taste is slightly sweet. Perhaps aging would soften the overwhelming raspberry. Good wild ale.

Bottle at RBESG ’14, day 4 not so grand tasting at Craft Clerko, 10/08/14 from an IP trade if I recall correctly. Hazed reddish orange with moderate light crimson spotting and edgework. Nose is tarte red berries, acidic notes, touch of must, dank wood, funk, light bretty waftings. Taste comprises tangy red berry mash, soured raspberries, tarte berry jam, nice acidic twinge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, tarte berry close with a bretty wash. Nice well balanced red berry sour.

Bottle - Tart and funky raspberry with some Brett. Cloudy orang with almost no head. Vinegar tartness and some raspberry in the finish. Tartness is throat prickling and excessive.

Bottle at RBESG 2014. It pours cloudy rose with a small white head. The nose is oak, earth, funk, raspberry, spice, musty and farmyard. The taste is crisp, tart, acidic, wood, raspberry, earth, hot, tangy fruits, sherbet, jam and good mouth-pucker with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice tart acidity. Tasty in small pours...

Nice sour sour. Dark reddish pour. Raspberries in the nose. The taste is way tart with raspberries, brett, oak, lemon, and slightly acidic flavors. Lively carbonation. Great stuff.

I have seen this on the shelf before and don’t think the price deflected me, so not sure why I am just now trying. There is so much berries in here it is up in the Blushing Monk realm. Oak and just a hint of sour funk show. This was quite nice a surpriser.
