Bottle pours a slightly hazy red with a large white head that recedes almost instantly. Aroma of tart raspberries, light vinegar and acid. Tart pie cherry bites you in the back of the jaw. Light effervesance. Good stuff.

2009 Bottle. Strong sharp sore fruity alcohol aroma. Clear red orange color with a small white head. Fruity beginning with a strong sour and light bitter finish. Will try aging one longer.

Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy light brown with reddish mahogany hues and a light tan head. Aroma is mildly tart, raspberries, oak, brown ale characteristics. Flavor has much more tartness, good sour red/brown character with tart raspberries. Good tart in the body, but fades quickly. Still delicious!

Reddish purple pour with bubbly head. Sour raspberry flavor, but complex in that it’s also semi-sweet. Very enjoyable.

750 ml Bottle. Well it has a nice color, red with a pink hue. No head at all. Aroma is sour raspberries, funky oak and vinegar.

We did a side by side with a 2011 and a 2012. Both very hard to drink. I dislike drinking vinegar in a sour, this has vinegar, sea slat, artificial raspberry, paint thinner, extremely sharp funky oak. Harsh, just plain hash. Not sure how anybody could really enjoy this. 4 oz. was more then enough out 750 ml bottle.

(bottle) murky ruby-amber colour with no head. aroma of rhubarb, raspberries and a hint of honey, with some notes of dill, mint, light orange peel and lemons. flavour is more raspberries, rhubarb and blackberries, slightly perfumed and tart, with a hint of herbal hops and some alcohol. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

"this murky ruby brown brew doesn’t seem hot in any way, but it’s a little heavy and sticky for a wild ale, making me wonder is 11.4% really necessary. Heavy on the oak, with sour fruits and ample raspberry, though not overtly so. A good but not great sour (has just a touch a that baby diaper thing going on too). Lingering on the palate. Thanks Greg for the trade."

Bottle 2014. Pour is pinkish copper. Awesome sour aroma with raspberries and wood. Taste is slightly sweet. Perhaps aging would soften the overwhelming raspberry. Good wild ale.
