Draft at Capone’s. Pours turbid brown with minimal head. Nose if figgy fruit, red wine grapey, brown sugar, molasses, funky spicy yeast. Tastes of figgy fruit mixed with funky spicy Belgian yeast notes, and some backup hops make their presence known. Good.

12 oz bottle from the Rapture release. Poured a deep dark red/brown body with a small tight foamy off white head. Aroma is dominated by Belgian yeast and banana esters, upon warming a touch of sweetness from the malts come through along with more fruit notes and alcohol. Fuller bodied with average to strong carbonation a chewy mouthfeel and some alcohol heat on the backend. Flavor is much like the aroma and dominated by banana and yeast, slight toast and bread come through along with some other fruits. Although this does clock in at 8.5% it seems much bigger ABVwise in every aspect, Aroma, Flavor, Palate. Good stuff but I would of sworn this was 10% or higher.
