4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Rustico in Alexandria. Wow wow wow. This one was just GREAT. Poured a ruby color with a small condensed creamy off-white head. Aroma appeared to be quite complex, fruity notes (raspberries in particular) with notes of yeast characters and almost what I would describe as anise. The flavor doesn’t really convey these fruit aromas, which makes me think a lot of that is the yeast variety or hops combination. Flavor is smooth, sweet malts, toffee, almost graham cracker. Alcohol is relatively well masked which makes this even better.
