3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Thick fruity nose -- citrus, peach, mango -- also some honey and yeast. Straw color with very fine head. Very heavy citrus flavors in initial. mid palate mellows those flavors, introduces some sourness, and then there’s a rising hit of alcohol. A bit of a peppery burst in final. Medium body (heavy for the style). Fun fruity brew, but a bit overdone with the amped-up alcohol.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle, 4pk. Cloudy gold color. no head. Thin white ring. Aroma of citrus juice, malted wheat, and heavy clove. Flavor of Bread and orange zest mostly. Follows up with a good amount of white pepper and coriander. Distant amounts of bubblegum, grass, lemon zest, and far away licorice bitterness. Doesn’t follow the Saison style; more of an Imperial Belgian Wit.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a murky dark golden, no real head. Aroma has some gumball accents, some lemony accents, a touch of yeast. Flavor is refreshing and full-bodied, with some peach accents, some some yeastiness, some sweet doughy notes. Mouthfeel has a nice spritz to it. Pretty solid.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from piggly wiggly, pours a hazy gold with white head. Aroma has a lot of yeast phenol typical of the style. Full mouth feel very rich. Flavor is malty and there is Citrus that balances out the yeasty banana character with alcohol present and a little spice, pepper. Overall this is an awesome beer it’s way heavy for the style as far as alcohol but I like the different characters of this beer and it’s extremeness, wish I had a bottle I could age I feel like this beer would age well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy apricot color with a skim of white head. Aroma is sulfury and peppery, and taste is the same, but almost impossibly yeasty and alcoholic. It burns, like a carbonated apple brandy $4/12oz

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a refrigerated bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a pale, hazy yellow with a crisp white head of foam. The aroma kicks ass with notes of zesty citrus and fresh ground peppercorns playing off one another to make something fairly beautiful. Taste is spicy with just a touch of sweetness that moves onto a burn on the back of the tongue. I wasn’t entirely sure this beer would have worked out with the high alcohol content, but it definitely did.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy gold/amber with white head. Big, perfumey and floral grapefruit and citrus zest with sweet malt. Mild pepper. Flavor is a sweet mix of fruit initially that fades to grapefruit and zest bitterness. Finishes relatively sweet and sticky. Alcohol not too noticeable, except maybe in the finish. Lingering hops, pepper, and fruit esters.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Smells like a wit......pours with no head. TONS of floaters. Tastes good at first, but the aftertaste is pure bitter alcohol. I’m not a fan.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
7/24/12. 12oz bottle from Grassroots. Hazy orange pour with a small khaki head that goes away fast and laces in small, sparse rings. Lots in the aroma, including citrus, estery Belgian yeast, spice, candi sugars, and more, but it’s all sort of a muddle sweetness. Sweet candy entry encouraged by all of the citrus. Estery yeast and touches of spice and dryness hit next followed by more lingering sweetness. Eh.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thin white head of fine bubbles with minimal carbonation. Needs more bubbles for the style. Aroma of ripe fruit, yeast, straw and some herbal hops along with a good helping of sweet malts. Color is a milky golden orange. Little more life once in the mouth with decent effervescence. Pears, spices, dried orange peel, herbal hops and some spicy yeast. Pretty representative of a good saison. Body is a bit thicker and chewier (maltier) than a typical saison but still very tasty. Noticable alcohol presence that warms and lingers for a bit. A pretty good brew.
