jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 25, 2009 (bottle at Old Chicago in Lincoln, NE). Pours a cloudy dark brown color. Spare off white head. Malty wheat aroma. Sweet malt and wheat flavor. Avg duration. Spare lacing. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jun 7, 2009 A dark brown hazy beer with a minimal off-white head. Aroma is yeast, bread, spice, some light fruit. Flavor is more fruit, yeast, sweet molasses, nuts, malt. Fairly heavy mouthfeel for a weizen. Not a true success, in my mind, but an interesting beer. abcfan (244), New Jersey, USA Jun 4, 2009 Decent brew. Pours a rich caramel color with thin white head. Bread, clove and caramel prevalent in the aroma. Spicy, biting on the tongue with a sweet tofee finish. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA May 31, 2009 22. Thanks, BVC! Pours cloudy amber with a thin off-white head. Not bad but seems to be kind of one-dimensional. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA May 31, 2009 22. Thanks, BVC! Pours an opaque dark brown with mild toffee highlights. Dense, creamy tan head. Roasty, toasty, brown bready nose. Creamy medium body, prickly carb. Toasty, roasty mid-palate, with brown bread, nuts, and dryish toffee notes. Long toffee finish. sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA May 29, 2009 pours copper, off white head.
Aroma and taste, dark fruits (figs), some grains; wheat, caramel. Some lingering sugary apricots and nectarine.
A fairly decent weizen bock. jkaiser (212), Orlando, Florida, USA May 22, 2009 I don’t remember anything about this beer. I don’t think it was great or bad. I like the beers from this brewery so there’s that on top of that. Had it at beerfest.
