750mL bottle, no date from Amity Wine New Haven. One explosive ass pop when I removed the cork, but thankfully nowhere near a foam over. Black with a 1 1/2 finger mahogany head, good retention. First impression just seemed like a good strong Belgian dark ale. Raisins, prunes, figs and molasses up front with some toasted and lightly ashy roasted malts behind. Moderate Belgian yeast presence. I also pick up on a little alcohol and some doughy notes as it warms. Room temperature, decaying fall leaves. Flavor is much the same, though the stout characteristics come forth more, turning this into a nice roasty strong Belgian dark ale. So far, this is one of the few examples that is actually kinda nice. The roastiness doesn’t turn burnt--slightly smoky and ashy in the finish. Full body with moderate prickly carbonation. Very good, I must say--I think it was only like 7 bucks, as well. Beats Blvd Dark Truth and Struise Black Albert first batch for sure.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 elgiacomo (733) - Ringgold/Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, USA - OCT 3, 2010
750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours thick black with a good two finger brown head of small dense bubbles that slowly fades to a foamy cap that holds all the way down the glass, but doesn’t leave much lacing. Aroma is strong and vinous, a lot of dark fruits, grapes, raisins, figs, dark cherries, anise, a good deal of alcohol, some coffee, chocolate, a bit musty and earthy. Flavor is also very fruity and vinous, more chocolate comes through, coffee, roasted malt, molasses, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, noticeable alcohol, fairly sweet, very robust and strong. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy but is also pretty heavy on the carbonation, making for an odd mix. This is my 2nd bottle of Tiny, great stuff, really took me by surprise the first time as I was expecting a thinner beer due to previous experiences with Belgian-style Imperial Stouts, however Tiny is one of the thickest beers I’ve seen, particularly the 2nd half of the bottle. Strong and powerful, really want to see what this does with some age.

Cork virtually explodes out of botte..luckily had a snifter ready - pours thick mocha head that settles quickly to hug rim. Chocolate syrup and hot vanilla alcohol aromas. Sweet dark espresso and roasted dark caramel upfront turning very hot in the lasting chocolate finish. Quite warming.

75cl bottle shared by Exiled. Overall a nice, solid impy stout. Not overly boozey and not overpowered with hops, chocolate or coffee. Pretty well balanced and tasty, especially considering the almost 12 ABV.

Pours Black with a tan to brown head(fades fast). Starts off alcoholic and almost bitter but comes through with a good coffee and a long chocolate finish. still new to this so ill say the aroma is alcoholic with coffee hints. Hits the tongue in the middle and slowly moves back. Overall good, probably gonna try this one again.

Oh, it’s an imperial stout ranked 97th percentile. Gee, what a shock. Can there be any credibility in this site with ratings like that? It’s a good imperial stout... tastes just like many, many others that I’ve had.
