Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Beerlando. Pours an opaque pitch black with a frothy light brown head. Intense hard roast aroma yet with a juicy plum juice sweetness. Solid body, sweet roast, some vanilla and quite some licorice. Again juicy dried dark fruits. Some malt astringency, but pleasantly so. A very traditional and GREAT Imperial Stout. 290311

Opaque black beer, good sized but short lived tan head. Airy palate, fairly well carbonated. Minerally coffee with a bitter finish. Okay but could do with some more complexity to retain interest.

fiulijn (19387) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 29, 2012
Corked bottle from Beers Of Europe, King’s Lynn
Pitch black color, with medium sized head, brownish, short lived. Mild aroma of roasted malts. Good body strength, but also too much alcohol; roasted malt flavor, medium sweetness, quite some liquorice; maybe some chocolate; correct bitterness.
Good, but not deep.
