Pitch black, huge brown head with excellent persistence. Aroma of roast malt, very chocolatey, and raspberry. Extremely smooth roast malt flavor, sweet up front and bitter in back, intense chocolate the whole way, and woody oak character on the finish. Not much linger. Very full body, but not sticky, and moderate carbonation. Fantastic.

Very smooth and velvety. Really roasty and chocolate flavors. Looks great with a dark brown head.

A huge Belgian-style imperial stout. A funky nose leads to a Super duper sweet roast base. Almost too rich for my palate. Medium mouthfeel. Almost have up on this at the beginning, but in the end it rang true.

Bottle. Coal black. Big roasty boozy nose. Huge flavor profile with big burnt malts booze sweetness. Sipper. Nice.

A huge roasty beer. Pours black with a dark tan head. Light carbonation. Loads of brown sugar, baker’s chocolate and malt. Finishes smoother than an imperial stout should be. A little bit of fruit too to the finish. Astounding.

Bottle. Pours an inky black with a big tan head that fades quickly. Big malty aroma, lots of wood, dark chocolate, coffee, brown sugar. Rich taste, of bitter coffee and chocolate, toasted malt, wood, dark fruits. Hides the alcohol well. Lingering coffee and malt. Very nice.

Nice velvety imperial without the harsh aftertaste. Lacks a little in complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours pitch black with small beige head that disappeared quickly. Aroma of alcohol, chocolate, intense malt. Sweet chocolate roast, a good bit of heat from the alcohol, and licorice long finish.

750 ml bottle paid $12.99 but don’t remember where from. Used motor oil color with a thin ring of tan head, no lace. Aroma is dark chocolate, anise, yeast and a hint of smoke.

Flavor doesn’t have much in the way of roast but it does have anise, raisin and earthy chocolate malts with a Belgian yeast presence that lingers after the sip. A light subtle note of smoke is present after the sip but also shows a sweetness. The mouthfeel is syrupy and oily with a light hint of booze. Medium not exactly full but decent. The alcohol doesn’t distract from the flavor but man it make me feel nice and cozy in the belly!

Overall I enjoy it because of how nice it warms the Insides. If you enjoy a Belgian stout this should not be over looked. Worth a try.
