3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle poured a pitch black with a very small tan head and minimal lacing. Aroma includes subtle roasted malt and dark fruit notes. Taste is similarly big on vinous notes with a hint of dark chocolate and booze on the finish. Slight alcool warming on finish with dark fruit flavors lingering.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bottle to tulip, 5/18 bottle date. Jet black pour, small deep-tan head. Aroma of raisin, planty-earthiness, toasted malt, light chocolate. Flavor is full bodied with dark chocolate, fruit, and slight alcohol warmth on the way down. Alcohol hidden fairly well, definitely hits heavy.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle dated born on: 05/08/2015; best by 05/08/2017 according to Weyerbacher.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with light red hues close to the bottom of the beer. A slim concave off white head dissipated and left some light messy lacing.
The smell started off with a light Belgian-esque spice (muted clove - seems slightly cooked). It then opens up with light chocolate tones and then an earthy sort of raisin.
The taste has the same sort of "cooked clove" more or less running into the chocolate tones to be semi-sweet but remain slightly spicy. Light raisin becomes subtle. The aftertaste is only about the "cooked clove."
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs low to allow the ABV to take the lead on my tongue - its not too "boozy hot" but one can tell it is there.
Overall, imperial stout - yes! With a Belgian twist - yes again. Would I have this again, most likely. And hopefully next time, maybe even give it a little more age.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with really no head. Aroma is raisin and alcohol. A bit thick, but not sticky sweet with little carbonation. Flavor is very nice, but boozy. Some dark roast, a bit of dried fruit and a bitter finish make for a fairly well balance, if a bit hot beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
from Mondial de la Bière 2013, Mulhouse - black beer with a moderate dark beige foam left; phenolic, very roasted notes of dark chocolate, licorice and soy sauce; thick and full-bodied, some sweetness and fairly bitter; notes of vanilla, cacao and chocolate in a long finish with warming alcohol notes

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Most people have a co-worker, or a cousin, or a friend, who is a mountain of a man... some behemoth who towers over everyone else with imposing, sun-blocking presence, and is yet a real sweetheart. Very commonly, that guy’s ironic nickname is "Tiny." That’s what’s going on, here.
This is a big, rich, damned strong stout, that’s as sweet, smooth, and rich as it is massive. Tiny pours jet black, there’s hardly any foam at all. The aroma is like liquor; fruit and sugar and molasses. That’s what hits up front in the flavor, and as it warms, coffee and hearty, nutty bread notes show up. At almost 12% ABV, you’d expect the alcohol to be big in the flavor. It is. That’s fine. A slow sipping stout is just right now and then, and this was just right tonight.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottled date: 4/30/15. 12 oz bottle chilled and served in tulip. Small head is late to rise after fairly aggressive pour. Beer is super black in color with a thin dark tan head. Roasted malt aromas with serious smoke notes. Taste is lightly sweet with a slightly bitter finish. Complexity of notes including hay, chocolate, coffee, nuts toast, roasted malts, basement, leather and earthy leaves. But primarily smokiness. An absolutely full bodied beer with a sticky texture, soft carbonation and fairly smooth finish. One of the most complex and flavorful stouts I have personally tasted. Outstanding. Slow sipper. Would be perfect by the fire on a cold winter night (Though I am tasting on a mid-June night) Very enjoyable. Will try cellaring a few bottles. If you like strong stouts, this ones for you!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Roasty almost smoked aroma. The taste is dark toasty malt with Belgian nutty flavors. I think the smoked flavors come from the Belgian yeast and are not actually smokey. The finish is dry for the most part and finish with a slight boozy ness. Has slight vanilla bourbon flavors. This is a good stout, but generally weyerbacher stouts are very good, so as far a weyerbacher stouts go this is sub par, but still pretty good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Heavy and rich. Thick and black. Truly fantastic with charcoal and tobacco. Sugar and cinnamon but a note of clove and heavy chocolate. Bottle

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Exited to try this one too! Bottle, ultra black beer, huge black walnut colored head, faded quickly. Aroma is bread, yeast, faint metal, molasses, dried plums, coffee. Taste is molasses, dates, bourbon, anise, coffee, and yes vinous aridity at the end. This is a big flavored beer, but the palate is not as thick and rich as a big impy stout usually is. It’s still great body, just not syrupy. Carbonation seems nicely subdued. Finish ends dry. This is quite good. My only faults, really, are that’s it’s just a bit hot, and still a little sweet in the middle. Still, it’s a big, roasty, fairly dry impy stout, and I love it!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown color with very little head. Intense chocolate aroma with hints of raisin and alcohol. Chocolate taste with raisins, spices and cinnamon. Spicy on the palate with alcohol warming.
