Poured oil black, with a thin, tan, bubbly head. Aroma is a lot of coffee and baked chocolate chip cookies. Taste is anything but tiny: big, robust notes of coffee and chocolate, with a smooth finish. The alcohol was not apparent at all.

Sweet vanilla and cocoa aromas with some smokey cherry notes and slight caramel. Dark brown head and very dark brown almost black body. Some roasty cocoa and caramel with Minor cherry and slight birch flavors. Smooth on the palate.

Aromas of chocolate, black cherry, vanilla, some booze. Jet black, quickly fading head. Dried raisiny fruit flavors, warming alcohol notes, dry bitter chocolate. Full bodied, well carbonated.

Intense roasted malts notes, coffee. Cocoa nibs, caramel, chocolate. Toasty. Velvety. Thick body, boozy, warming.

Pours dark black with creamy tan head. Aroma is off from what you’d expect from a stout.minthinknits the yeast coming through. It’s also very evident in the taste. Not my favorite.

Sample at the brewery. Dark brown, black with thick caramel colored head and substantial lacing. Cocoa nibs, chocolate, caramel. Very nice.

Bottle into a tulip glass. Bottle from Weyerbacher 25 ounces. Now this is something to behold!!! Pour is black with no light showing through it all with a thick brown head. Aroma is of chocolate coffee so many things going on and of course thick malts. Taste is bittersweet chocolate backed up by coffee rich flavor beyond smooth this is what steps should be. Finish lingers with a bitter sweet rich I can explain warmth. This stout is great.

Draft. Black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is bizarrely fruity. Pear, cherry and some floral notes. Taste adds some light chocolate, vinous, Belgian yeast and charred malt. Some coffee in the finish. Velvety sticky mouthfeel. Super complex. Best Weyerbacher brew I've had.

750 ml bottle poured into tulip. Inky black color with a miniscule fizzy cocoa-colored head that’s gone in an instant. Medium intensity, slightly smoky aroma of wine, chocolate and berries. Exceptionally smooth vinous flavor with notes chocolate and dark fruit. Overall it’s one of those beers that I enjoy more than the sum of its parts.

Dark brown-black body, medium sized khaki head, spotty lacing. Vinous notes of dark fruits, raisins, and grape skins, light roast and leather. Medium bodied, silky carbonation, fairly sweet, lingering, but muted finish.

Weird imply stout. Huge yeast character as I got the drwg pour. Spicy and herbal.
