this was a really good IPA but not a great one. If your a hop head this is definitely worth a try but donít expect to be wowed.

The bottle i tried was approaching the end of itís recommended lifespan. Although the aroma was a bit diminished and very slightly tainted, the flavor was still amazing. What a great blend of hops(Apollo, Calypso, Centennial, and Galaxy ). I Looking forward to trying this fresh next Spring.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
750ml bottle pours a very hazy, translucent dark orange with some frothy, lacing, white head. Nose is musty, must be an old bottle, orange peel, pine needles, cardboard, lemon, some dried out grapefruit zest. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet, pithy, cardboard, a little light candy, pine sap. Musty, bitter finish. Old school DIPA, loads of bitterness with not a whole lot else.

Bottle. Deep orange pour wit ha sticky white head. Aroma is citrus hops and sticky caramel malt. Flavor is similarly deep citrus with a lot of caramel malt backbone. good but not mindblowing.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Split a bottle with a couple of co-workers. Poured a nice hazy orange color with a pretty sizable foamy white head. Aroma was fresh, crushed hop flowers, with citrus and pine notes behind them. Flavor had a light tropical fruit note to them, with some nice bitterness and a good malt balance to this one. Pretty enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
75cl bottle. Large off-white head atop murky amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, grapefruit, some catty. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit rind, catty. Soft medium body, fairly resinous. Just a plain olí hop bomb.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rich caramel and toffee coloured body with hints of orange and amber and a rich six centimetre tall tan head with zillions of bubbles - very nice. Aroma of tons of hops, a good dose of bread and yeast, some noticeable sugars and way more hops - this is packed. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong citrusey, piney, herbal and resinous hop flavours throughout with a lot of sweetness noticeable, such as honey, apricots and a bit of caster sugar. Aftertaste shows some herbal and grassy hop notes, but a lot of pine and resin flavours are the big flavours here with some sweetness and alcohol not far behind. Overall, a nice and deep Imperial IPA that shows its character most in the initial tastes with the palate more reminiscent of a traditional IPA. This is a nice beer and strong, but not as strong as most Imperial IPAs - but the bottle size was a bit of a downer - iíd prefer this in a small format bottle. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 12-September-2013 for US$8.99 sampled at home in Washington on 13-October-2013.
