White Sun Wit is a crisp and hazy Belgian-Style Wit. White Sun Wit is Weyerbacher’s thirst-quenching spring and early summer ale. The nose has a light spiciness from the coriander, orange peel, grains of paradise, and star anise. The palate reveals a mild, refreshing and effervescent wheat beer that finishes with just a hint of tartness.

Poured from a bottle. Pours a hazy straw color with a fizzy white head of foam that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is zesty oranges with some acidity coming through on top of a strong wheat presence. Taste is loads of bread and just a touch of spice. Orange juice really makes itself known as well. Pretty clean. I can appreciate the effort here. I enjoy it.

Bottle. Moderate malt aroma hay, light to moderate hops and yeast of flowers, perfume, and dough, with hints of bubble gum, coriander and clove. head is small, frothy/fizzy, white with fair slippery lacing and mostly diminishing. Color is hazy yellow/amber. Flavor starts moderately to heavily acidic, then finishes moderately acidic an lightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. Though most of this Witbier is very light and the flavor is a bit flat, there is some deep hop and yeast notes in it.

12 oz. bottle from Julio’s Liquors. Nice foggy, unfiltered yellow color with ¼ inch soapy head. Great retention and lace. Nose is traditional Wit. Great wheat and coriander aromas. Flavor follows the nose with a nice amount of orange peel. The citrus shows up a lot in the finish. Slightly tart. The spice is extremely mild. Texture is dry. Body is on the thin side yet doesn’t really make it a negative aspect at all. Overall a very simple and straight-forward Wit. Very light and easy to drink. I would not only drink this again; I would buy again. Tasty.

Appearance: light, nearly clear yellow with a quickly vanishing fizzy white head and no lace. Aroma: traditional wit flavors, maybe a little more aggressive than usual with the spices. Taste: spicy, with notes of coriander, white pepper, a hint of clove, and a good dose of citrus. Finish: crisp, clean, and very quick. Notes: Flavors were on par with a really excellent wit, but the palate was a little light and the appearance was pretty lackluster (although the label artwork is pretty nice). Not as good as a Hoegaarden, and way below an Allagash White.

Pours a hazy light golden blonde color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aromas are sweet apple, lemon and touches of belgian spice. On the palate its straight forward with a bit of sweet citrus on the start that moves into a mid palate spice, good carbonation, and on to a refreshing finish that rounds the beer out nicely with a touch of tartness lingering....

Don’t pay mind to the rating. Too many elitists who can’’t enjoy a very nice lemony witbiet.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2012 Draft @ FG w e. Mirky yellow-white pour into shaker. Sweet/tart aroma with some lemon zest, and a tart, wheaty flavor approaching sour. Pretty good. Short legs.

Bottle. Clear yellow with no head. Aroma and taste is dominated by a spiciness that I wasn’t expecting and didn’t enjoy. Relatively light... Not one I will go back to.
