| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Pours fromn the tap to a brilliant orange-red color with thick off white head tha lingers to mid-glass with okay lacing. Nose is muted, but what is there is not the hoppy citrus I expect from an IPA, but does have the bread scents of a good pale ale. Mouthfeel fairly full and a little chewy, and the aste pciks up the bread and yeast malts of the nose, with just a hint of hops. Finish smooth andfairly long.
Not a bad beer at all. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 18, 2009 12oz bottle from dmac. Pours cloudy orange/amber with a moderate sized, creamy white head and good lace. Smells slightly spicy with some light malts and light, earthy, citrusy hops. Tastes very nice, yeast and clove with some light spice and a good dose of citrusy hops. Lingering yeast flavors. Medium body, good carbonation. jrob21 (1284), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 17, 2009 Pours a cloudy orange with a big thick white head that lasts for a while. On the belgian IPA scale this one is weak in the hops but big in the yeast. I prefer the hop side of these equations but that’s just me. Wheat and spice in the aroma. Flavor is a little fruity with some wheat and grain mid palate and then the finish is where there is a touch of hop bitterness. Medium bodied and relatively quick on the finish. smith4498 (961), Miami, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Pours cloudy orangish color with off white head. Aromas of Belgian yeast and floral hops. Flavors of bread dough and spices with a hoppy finish. Medium body with average carbonation. wcampbell (584), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Pretty good. Yeasty with mild spices in the flavor and nose. Very mild hops. A little too fizzy and weak over all. Peppery, crisp finish. I was hoping for a little more zest than this provided. Lacking ingredients. Drinkable and refreshing, but not especially complex or interesting. VTHopHead (938), Barre, Vermont, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2009 Taster at the Great Lost Bear - Poured a nice golden amber in color with a small white head. Aroma is malty and medium sweet with a decent amount of fruitiness. Flavor is initially slightly sweet and fruity, but the hops kick in at the end tp clean things up. Plenty of Belgian yeasts. Finish is lingering and medium bitter. A good one... Soonah (980), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2009 From dmac via trade. Poured a turbid golden color with a short, fizzy white head. The aroma was yeasty and spicy. Light fruitiness offers balance as it opens up. The flavor is pepper, yeast, floral and light citrus. Thin body. It was OK, just didn’t really go anywhere. scrizzz (1352), kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2009 Sunset gold, sticky fluffy white head. Candied sugar, banana, white grape aroma. Creamy base, sawdust and citrus rind edges. Abruptly transitions into a powerful hop finish that overwhelms future sips.
