3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
No, Iím not being cute, it really is called "Belgium Ale", both on the label and the recipe given to me, so please donít change it, admins :) Curious to see what comes out of this bottle (swing-top MHD 11.7.2012) with such a low alcohol content (4.1% abv) - malts include barley, and wheat and oats, though Iím not not sure what kind (just íHaferflockení). Spicy nose, heavy wheat with light orange, vanilla, and coriander, though I may be dreaming the last one. Very sweet and fruity, with big lemon cleaner. Pale, hazy yellow with a brilliantly white, rocky head. Taste is tangy and sharp, lemon and orange peel on top of wheat, light body is quenching and juicy. Aftertaste drifts slowly off to bread. Clean, sweet pils malt? Yup, itís a witbier, and a good one, just a ton of flavor in a small package.
Are they getting all this without adjuncts? Because the label doesnít list any.
