ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Light haze on this pale gold beer. Little white head. Light dry palate, a little soft. Lots of soft floral things. Mild sweet citrus. Nicely joined up and a little Saison like. Quite a sweet beer - very drinkable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Chriso’s 2012 Pre-GBBF Shindig, London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a fine, white cream cap. Heavy doughy malt aroma, some wheat and floral notes. Hugely sweet flavor, lots of floral character, sugary wheat and dough. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet and sugary to finish, light alcohol, more heavy wheat, white sugar. It’s a big fella, a sipper.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 500ml. w. swing top @ home on the terrace.
Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, fruity, yeast, alcohol, bubble gum notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, candy sweet, weissbier yeast, alcohol. IMO more a weizenbock than a BW ! Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.
