Cask at JDW WIQ, London. It pours a clean amber color with a small white head. Aroma is semi-sweet with notes of caramel, toffee, dried fruits, vanilla. Taste is lightly crispy and sweet, with notes of caramel, dried leaves and biscuits. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, too sweet me thinks

17th Feb 2015: cask pint in Montgomery Towers, Shrewsbury. Deep brown with a red hue, off-white head that hung around. Dark berries and malty, dry bitter finish. OK, could have been in better condition, but overall not bad at all.

Cask at the Assembly Rooms, Solihull. Poured a clear medium brown with a long lasting frothy white head. The aroma is light fruit, malt, light hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a big woody resin hop bittter, burnt toffee caramel palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

tombyars (1434) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - FEB 4, 2015
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in the 31st January 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque teak in colour with a thick creamy buff head. Malty aroma with notes of fresh green apple present. Creamy smooth mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with apple fruit again present. Very tart bitter aftertaste gives a robust oak cask note evident in the mouth. Finish is slightly malty with notes of stewed apple. A poor session bitter, lacking in flavour and body.

SilkTork (5346) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2015
JDW, Southampton. Standing Order. A sweet and roasty best bitter. Chewy tobacco bitterness lingers a little too long and too assertively at the end. Becomes cloying and unpleasant after a promising start.
