Cask handpull at The Ship & Mitre, Liverpool. Amber colour with lasting beige head. Decent biscuit, good malts, good amber ale, seems a popular style now in the UK. Lots of digestive biscuit on finish. Touch of caramel. I love proper amber ales. Sweetish in mouth, good dry biscuit. I love it. Just needs some good hop on the end, but as it is, really drinkable.

Medium Dark amber colour with thin white head. Cider apple smell. Taste of hop, grape, fruit, and maybe plum. Litter watery on the palate. Sweet smooth start and a dry malt caramel aftertaste. Woody.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2011 Re-rate, I had this before but think it may have been off. Frothy head, malty and nut aroma, initially malty on the tongue but a more hoppy, lightly bitter aftertaste. Much better second time, good beer.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, 04.08.10 Pours reddy/amber with white head, good nick, good clarity. Fruity and toffee flavours abound but there is little else, not getting much bitterness, not getting much of a bite, but it is perfectly fine and is slipping down well. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.2

Cask, William Wygston, Wigston. Hazy brown with a beige thin foam. Aromas are weetabix and chocolate with raisins and bready yeast. Lightly roasted with hints of berry. Flavours are sweet toffee malts with caramel and cream. Lightly fruity with dry black tea. Served acidentally without a sparkler but all the better for it.
