Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Knockout. Lemon curd body, tight white head, really zippy lemons in the taste, almost fizzes on the tongue, certainly one of the best golden ale I’ve had this year.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - JUN 30, 2004
Cask@Kingston beer festival. Hoppy and light, tasty, zesty citrus rind and floral hops as the main flavours, quite light in ABV, but decent amount of flavour. Drinkable stuff.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7254) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2004
Very pale gold colour - a bit anaemic looking. Aromatic - at first I thought there were Cascade or First Gold hops, but I see it uses German lager varieties. The flavours are citric and a little sharp, but the finish settles down to be clean, gentle and lasting. The body is a mite thin, but it makes a decent thirst quencher. I rather liked this. Cask (gravity), Thurrock Beer Festival.

Cask Conditioned at The Wilkes Head, Leek, Staffs. Pale yellow light ale with frothy head. A sharp resiny flavour, thin and acidic but with some floral hop, dry notes. Lemon peel, zest, too sharp really.
