A pale golden ale with a thin white head. Herbs, grass and well balanced. Not what I was expecting from a low ABV golden ale. Very drinkable,

Pre-strike night with Octo, The Flowerpot, Derby, 29/11/11. Wet gold, slim lid. One of them. Sappy, dandelion and almond aroma. Lemony with light sulphur. Pleasant. Finishes with dunked malted milk biscuit. Dab of marg. Weedy. But at 3.6% can’t really complain.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ladnewton (1147) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2011
Cask at CPK, Pimlico, London on 29 January 2011. Crystal clear, pale gold with a white foam part-lacing head. Inviting grassy, herby aroma; bitter and fruity simultaneously in-mouth, featuring grassy hoppiness and berry fruits. Bitterness lingers and satisfies in the finish, on a light mouthfeel. Refreshing, easy-drinking and satisfying.

Cask handpull at Cask Pun and Kitchen, Pimlico. Very pale gold with lasting white head. Sweaty sox hoppy aroma. Decent session beer with just a bit too sweaty sox. Good drying finish though.

Cask at the Flowerpot, Derby. 08-09-07 I don’t really know what was wrong with this, it poured fine, golden in colour and with small white head, good clarity, but tasted soapy and quite poor, I really should’ve taken this back but it was the end of the night, I’d had a rake of ale and my dad was threatning to go onto the Thomas Sykes next at 10%, poor beer to end what had been a great day of generally very good beers.

Really nice ale here. Aroma is citrusy and grassy. Taste is pale lager malts with a hint of sweetness, mandarin and lemon citrus flavours, dry bitter finish, i could drink a serious amount of this stuff.
