3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. pours a dark murky amber color with a two finger thick beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, alcohol, and citrus. The flavor is slightly sweet caramel, smooth, malty, slight hops presence. Good body, good brew.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cloudy mahogany pour with almost no head. Toffee, sweet malts and a bit of hops are present in the nose. Sharp and contrasting flavors of sweet malt and caramel. A bit overdone for my palate.

Deep reddish brown body with a light tan frothy head that lasted. Good lacing. Malty and caramel aroma. Flavor was a sweet, spicy treat. Very good.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a nice amber color with a minimal head that dissipated quickly. Odd metallic malt aroma that’s not offensive, just . . .odd. The metallic comes through in the flavor a bit too, but no the malt. It’s a very smooth beer. Pretty decent over all.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pint bottle, nonick glass. Cookie, caramel, milk chocolate malt (M); flowery hops (L); honey and toffee aromas. Tall, creamy, off-white head is slowly diminishing and crowns a deep amber body. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavor becomes a moderately bitter, lightly acidic, astringent finish. The bitter flavor is quite in stark contrast to the sweet, malty nose. Strange. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: great malty aroma, too bad there’s none of that in the flavor.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Hard to figure how this qualifies as English Strong Ale, as its 5% ABV, but o well. Aroma is pleasent with notes of currant and light hops. Beer pours nice thick off white head that is retained. There is some moderate lacing. Flavor is initially malty sweet and the finish is lightly hoppy/bitter and dry. Nice ale.

3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Amazing bready, yeasty aroma. The first two sips of the beer were great, nice bready taste, as well as hints of caramel with a light bittering finish. After the first two sips all flavor left the beer and it became basically tasteless. Weird.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very mild, pleasant hop aroma. Apearance is a dark chocolate-like amber with a thin head (ignore photo in upper left of this page.) Has a typical English ale taste. That doesn’t mean bad, just the normal ale kit-like dry maltly flavor that has some mild sour characteristics and flowery hops. It’s good, and faithful to the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Cppery, red, amber color. Small white head. Malty
caramel aroma and herbal hop smell. Taste is winish, oaky,
and has caramel malt. Pretty interesting in flavor. This is a
fairly good beer.
