Plastic cask at GBBF08. Quite acidic aroma. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Sweet flavour, a little funky, hint of fart. Tannin bitterness in the finish.

GBBF2008. Very hazy pale yellow colour. Aroma is really much barnyardlike (rotten eggs, cowpoop, earth) with some bacon and mild notes of pear. Flavour is pear, very dry wood, some cheese and yeast. Rather interesting, and actually nice.

An amber yellow coloured, still perry. Despite its name the nose is sweet and slightly vinegary, like that of a dessert wine! The taste is again sweet and grapey. Dessert wine like, slightly tart with a dry finish. (Draught - tried at the Norwich CAMRA Beer Festival 2004).

Barrel GBBF 05’: has an aroma of pears cirtus and sulphur, the flavor has some sourness and delicate pears sweetness, pretty acidic, some bitter notes, quite refreshing, very easy to drink, way too easy for it’s strength.

From the barrel at GBBF, August 2005 (Day 2). Pale hazy colour, with that typical perry pastel hue. A really nice perry. Norfolk ciders and perries are often a bit wimpish compared to those from points West. Not so here. Strong, farmyard aroma, with hints of sulphur. Packed with pear fruit. Sweetish, but there’s a lot of tannin to provide a solid backbone and some acidity to give it some bite. Excellent stuff.

Strong apple/pear aroma. Hazy yellow-white body is still with no head. Strong pear flavour with some apple and sulfur tones. Light alcohol. Some woodiness. Quite dry, light, refreshing and wine-like. Barrel at GBBF 2005.

Barrel (GBBF): Cloudy light lemon in clour. Funky nose, with cows? Sweet pears, suprisingly sweet. Still dry enough to balance it out. Quite smooth and soft. Nice.
