This bear is meant to pair with dessert if you ask me. Wonderful dark taste that is coffee like.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Visual: beautiful artwork on the label, lovely colour scheme. Pours dark cola brown with a sizable somewhat lasting creamy head, lots of barely visible fast activity.
Nose: sweet maple syrup and chai (clove, cinnamon, coriander, ginger) on the nose - very inviting
Attack: cream-fizzy, 5/10-sweetness
Mid-palate: watery mouthfeel, cola/root beer, caramel malts
Finish: bitter black tea, maple exhale, burnt roast bitter off-dry finish.
Summary: A gimmicky try-one-time-only beer. It lacks finesse, real depth, body and balance to be a winner. Exciting on paper but falls short on delivery.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pour is dark brown with fluffy beige head and decent lacing. Aroma of strong maple, spices from the chai, light herbal hops. Taste is really sweet with some maple pie and chai, roasted and caramel malts, light earthy hops. Medium body and low to medium carb. The maple and chai taste are overpowering and makes this one really hard to drink. Drain pour.

I donít know what the people who gave this beer a poor rating are smoking... Excellent, flavorful beer. Itís unique for sure. And delicious. Caramel, clove, vanilla, chai is how I would describe the taste. TRY IT!

650ml bottle pours brown in color with a 2 finger light brown head that settles slowly to reveal some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is dominated by maple with a light chai tea presence and mild hops. Taste is maple sweetness with hints of chai tea and a mild hoppy bitterness. Light to medium body with abundant carbonation leaving a nice tingle on the palate. A very well done brew by a brewery not known for quality beers in the past. I was quite surprised by this one.

Huge amount of carbonation powers a very chai like aroma. Anticipation while waiting for head to subside for first sip, will it live up to the aroma? Taste is sweet, slight bitter finish. Strange taste, not for me.

Fantastic chai aroma and great lingering maple aftertaste... but unfortunately the most important part -- the taste of the actual beer -- leaves very much to be desired; itís like tonic water. If they fixed this part IMHO this could be a 4+ beer. Maybe that would be impossible, though, as it would drown out the chai. Really wish I could give this a higher rating.

Bottle. Deep copper colour with thin, bubbly beige head. Strong maple smell with whiffs of chai; small maple taste with whiffs of beer. Sweet, but very watery. Not a lot of substance.
