2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
[Bottle (330ml).] Pours a bubbly copper-gold with a large diminishing fluffy off-white head. Aroma of sweet grapefruit mainly along with some caramel malt in the back. Flavour of light, slightly watered down grapefruit juice, somewhat sweet and with a very light bitter finish. Finish is a bit iffy. Light to average bodied. A decent thirst quencher but not much of a beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This ale poured a cloudy, medium yellow colour with a quickly dissipating, bright white head. Scents include citrus hops, grapefruit juice, bread and light vanilla. First sip was smooth with a medium body and a malty start with light flavours of grapefruit and light caramel. Finish is grapefruit wise bitter with the grapefruit juice flavor lingering.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from a mix-pack in the LCBO. Funky aroma with grapefruit in there; not a huge fan. The taste was good enough, with definite grapefruit flavour. To be fair, I donít like grapefruit. Nonetheless, this was actually drinkable, though nothing great.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Hazy golden body with some pink tone, small white head, medium retention and almost no lacing. Mild aroma of wheat, grapefruit, slightly floral and a touch of spices. Taste has a nice malty backbone, caramel, grapefruit, coriander, lightly floral hops. Very enjoyable.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - pours a turbid gold color with a smallish head that leaves Spartan lacing on the glass. Aroma is not really in your face, light pale malt tones some citrus tones. Flavour is what youíd expect from a citrus infused pale ale - relatively mild but flavourful enough to have the pale ale be complimented by the grapefruit and not washed out by it. A good effort at this fruit styled ale - tasty, quenching.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy orangey/amber with almost no head. Aroma is grapefruit and faint malt. Flavour is grapefruit, sweet malt and a grapefruit like bitterness. Decent fruit beer though Iíve always liked grapefruit so Iím not sure if that makes me biased.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355 ml bottle from LCBO (part of BC Craft Brewers Sampler). Pours a murky copper colour with modest-sized, cream-coloured head. Aroma is sweet caramel and grapefruity fruitiness. Flavour is fairly sweet with caramel and a candied fruitiness that bears a passing familiarity with grapefruit. A little syrupy in the mouth. Itís different enough to be mildly interesting and not revolting but not something Iíd revisit soon.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330 mL bottle. Muddy orange-brown with very little head. Not much to look at. The aroma is mostly sweet brown-sugary malt, with a little grapefruit in the back. Each of these things is very distinctive and separate - almost as though Iím smelling two different beers. The flavour is pretty simple, and a little sweet. First the caramel of the malt, then the grapefruit. Again, very separate, with nothing else there. Needs to be a little drier, though - too sweet to be refreshing, which is the only reason to drink a fruit beer.
