We’ve blended robust caramel and crystal malts to give the brew deep brown amber hues, for an almost warming appearance. But it’s the roasted chestnuts that impart a unique and bold nutty character, complemented by a light level of hops, for a clean but crisp finish.

330ml bottle from Tap 66, Xiamen. Pours dark brown with a dissipating off white head. Aroma of nuts, toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Bitter sweet finish.

Clear amber with a thin beige head. Nice nutty aroma and flavor but a bit too sweet.

Pours a medium copper / brown colour with a off white head. Aroma is super strong vanilla stands out the most for me then caramel and a hint of nuts. Taste is super super sweet and rich with a nice nuttiness. Good beer to keep warm wit on a cold fall day. I would suggest sharing a 650ml bottle as by the time i was finished i was a bit much

Clear reddish amber. Aroma is caramel, chestnut. Light bodied. Quite sweet - almost sickly, with chestnut and toffee flavours. I consider this a novelty beer.

Draft @ Malones. Amber red chestnut auburn. Horribly artificial aroma like coffee syrup. This smells like something to pour over cake. Potentially delicious flavor in a dessert sense, but not in beer format. Flavor is sweet dessert syrup for ice cream and coffee. Not a real chestnut beer like the Italians can make.

Popped the cap; immediate smell of sweet chestnuts, chocolate. I like that in a beer. Into a tulip; pours a nice dark amber with half a finger of brownish-white head. Looks to be quite effervescent; plenty of activity in the beer itself. Aroma is superb; sweet and nutty, some chocolate that reminds me a bit of nutella, coffee on the back end. Flavour echoes the aroma, plenty of chestnut in there, coffee and chocolate take a back seat. Quite good, but there is a flaw; I get a metallic aftertaste on the finish that puts a damper on how enjoyable it is. Worth trying out, though.

pours chestnut brown, 1inch head, medium carbonation, and some good lacing. Lots and lots and lots (and lots) of caramelized roasted chestnuts on the nose. Somewhat thin at the start, but it finishes acceptably nutty and somewhat clean. Not exactly complex or deep, but has a very unique flavour profile. This would be cool in a cocktail…

Bottle. Cloudy amber-brown pour with a thin, soapy beige head. I’m kind of torn with this beer... Huge chestnut and sweet caramel aroma, honey, milk chocolate notes, almost sickly sweet, but very intriguing. Flavour is sweet and malty, chestnut and caramel, a touch of chocolate. Some really delicious flavours, but tastes pretty artificial.

Bottle to pint glass Nutmeg, chestnut, malt, maple, brown sugar aromas. Copper colour with a thin bubbly tan head. Taste is a little sweet and malty but I don't get much else. Mouthfeel is watery.
