3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can on Rocky Mountaineer Train, Canada. Vibrant bronze coloured beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly malty and roasted, and the flavour is gently malty and roasted with some caramelness. Overall a pleasant mildly roasted and malty beer.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clean amber color from the bottle with little to no head on the beer. Aroma has a low earthy hops nose with some light caramel malt sweetness and some mild maris toasted notes. Flavor has a pretty smooth flavor but slightly on the sweet side. Notes of peach, light raisin, a touch of light citrus orange and some sweet caramel malt and grainy notes finish it out. Body is oily with a low carbonation rate and modest heftiness too it. Overall an okay brew. Solid offering and overall an enjoyable everyday type of brew.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Beer pours a reddish dark copper color and has a big malty nose with some hopps. Then the flavor Co. Es up bold with malts up front then falls flat. Easy to drink but far from superior.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
From bottle -Label evokes lumberjack imagery. Pours dark copper brown with nice head that thins out. Aroma of caramel malts and almost woodsy hop character.
First sip shows this brew to be well balanced. No particular flavour stands out, but makes for an easy drinking ale. Nice carbonation on the tongue. Good bodied malt flavour.
Overall this is a good patio beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught at Malone’s Urban Drinkery, Vancouver
Amber color, cream; generous head. The aroma is a bit creamy and buttery. Light mouthfeel, some caramel, butter, wood (would that be the whiskey?); low bitterness. Dry final.
What did they want to do?

This has a strange rubber taste at the beginning. Thin finish and not terribly exciting.

1.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
UPDATED: APR 16, 2012 Pours a clear red/amber with an extremely short-lived, off-white, and very minimal head. The aroma was decent: earthy notes of bread, and grass. taste was very sub-par, no complexity, very slight caramel sweetness with bitter finish. light body with thin, almost watery, texture. soft to average carbonation with quick flavourless finish. Overall, I was not impressed by this beer and would only suggest it based on its easy drinkability.
