COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised and artificially carbonated bottle.

A classic Pale Ale this is a product of one of the UK’s oldest breweries. Whitbread Pale Ale is malty, almost sweet, with a moderate caramelly bready taste, but balanced with very moderate hops. Whitbread Pale Ale is pleasant to drink and recommended for those who think they don’t like darker beers.
Whitbread Pale Ale goes great with food and even cheese!

Basic ale taste and aroma, nothing special here. Got this in a world beer pack. Wouldn’t buy it again.

Bottle 275ml.
Clear light to medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, oxidide, caramel, cardboard. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090808]

Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is raisins, sweet caramel, some wood as well as mild vanillaish and sugary notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Very vintage.

Bottled (at Chriso, bottle from SilkTork, I think). Amber color, small white head. Caramelly, some fruit candy. Very watery. Very old bottle showing some cellary notes.

Lots of malt, some ginger and toffee aromas. Brown pour, surprisingly opaque with creamy tan head. Toffee, caramel malts and some ginger flavors. Palate is creamy but foamy. Better than expected.

Bottle. Deep gold with a large foam. Aromas are clean and nutty with grain. Flavours are sweet grain with cardboard and some mustiness. Hints of metal. Weak in more ways than one.

Bitter and nutty taste. Good pour and smooth feel. Good look but not a good taste to follow. Not at all my pale ale or bitter.

This amber ale poured with a decent beige head and a musty aroma. The flavor is roasted malt with sourdough bread and a medicinal finish.

Pale amber color, semi-creamy head with moderate lacing, overpowering nutty cheese aroma with thin strains of malt, sweetness falls just short of cloying, finish is somewhat tacky, noticeable lack of hops, overall non-sessionable
