A classic Pale Ale this is a product of one of the UK’s oldest breweries. Whitbread Pale Ale is malty, almost sweet, with a moderate caramelly bready taste, but balanced with very moderate hops.
Whitbread Pale Ale is pleasant to drink and recommended for those who think they don’t like darker beers.
Whitbread Pale Ale goes great with food and even cheese!

Bottle @ Pride of Spitalfield. Golden with a white head. Bitter, metallic, malt and hop, almost pils aroma. Taste is much the same with some bready yeast notes. Not great.

Bottle at The Three Judges, Glasgow. ABV is 3.4%. Amber colour, decent head. Moderate aroma of cellar, dust and caramel. Thin mouthfeel. The flavour has toffee and biscuits, with barely acceptable hops in the finish.

Bottle: Poured a rusty amber color with creamy off white head. Aroma was sweet caramel. Taste was sweet tea like, not very overwhelming.

My first time at Mahar’s by myself - little nervous can’t even remember tht it was like...I’m going with the crowd here... sorry... but by the sound if it I wouldn’t like it too much ;-)~
