COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wow, four years… time flies when you’re having fun! It has been a wild ride and all along we’ve grown because of support from friends like you. To celebrate turning four, we offer our take on an American original – The Wheat Wine Ale. Copper in color with sweet malts, fruit notes and a nice spiciness. It’s full bodied with a semi-dry finish courtesy of the Belgian yeast we used to ferment it. Thank you for your continued support of our dream.

From bottle no. 98 out of 1,248. June 2013 bottling date. The pour is a handsome looking reddish brown with a soft delicate head that settles down leaving some lacing along the way. Aroma of yeast, sweet malts, cherry, and brown sugar. The body is soft and delicate like the head. The taste has an upfront sweetness that cannot be denied with a short tart cherry like finish. It does not linger long on the palate. Alcohol well integrated.

bottle, nice amber appearance, slightly hazy. Smells very sweet like oak and candied sugar with a hint of caramel. Taste has a hint of cherry, sweet throughout more like a barleywine than a belgian strong ale. Mild bitterness.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a crystal clear reddish amber color with a huge fluffy tan head dissipates slowly leaving a moderate amount of lace. Smells of sweet brown sugar with apple and cherry sweetness coming through pretty strong. Light candy sugar and bready yeasty phenols round out the nose nicely. The flavor follows the nose quite well, a sweet malty beverage with hints of fruit spice and yeast. There’s a light spicy almost tart character here, but I’m not sure I’d call this a wheat wine it’s more Belgian strong Dark to me. Medium to thick body with a sweet almost sticky mouthfeel and a moderate level of carbonation. Very nice brew very flavorful and clean, a hint sweet but I can live with that.
