first wild of the day .. . medium amber .. light foam .. . light tartness, some barrel, and wet wood .. . light mouth .. quite a clean finish, short .. . . nice stuff, age has been good .. . . I wouldnt call myself crazy, Just mentally hilarious.

Tasting at Papsø’s, corked bottle
Cloudy red-amber color. Nice aroma, caramel, woody, and just a bit sour. Good body strength, lean malt flavor, moderate acidity, quite good wood presence, light vanilla. Rough but pleasant.

Bottled 6/9/2010 Pours a deep reddish brown with a moderate sized tan head that slowly recedes to a cap on top. Smells of tart funk from the moment I get the cork out. Lemons and sour cherries atop some faint sweet caramel and lots of barnyard funkiness. Oaky vanilla and a bit of barrel char in there as well. Its a bit odd how the flavor on this one develops. I get a sweet caramel and sugary maltiness up front. We then develop a bit of fruity lemony tartness mixed with some barrel notes, and then the finish goes quite dry with a mild lingering funkiness. I fully expected a bigger body as I took that first sip but yeah it turns quite dry. Medium to thin body with a spirited level of carbonation and a tart bubbly mouthfeel. Decent beer, definitely different, too bad its my last bottle.

[ Bottle # 57/192 ]. Unclear medium to dark red - orange amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, barnyard, cask wood, berries, alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, berries, wine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20110918]

bottle at papsø tasting. cloudy brown. smooth small offwhite or light brown head. woody and very dry aroma, also perfumey or flowery, slightly soursh, malty. flavor is woody, slightly sour, slightly fruity, tart , slightly acidic.

Bottle at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear red/brown - white head. Light sourness, acid, balsamic notes, red berries, fruity, wooden, light malty, nice smooth, bretty, sweetness. Sweet’N’Sour.

(Sample at Papsø’s) Pours a slightly hazy copper amber with medium, toffee head. Aroma is a tart with notes of alcohol and oak. Full-bodied, medium carbonation, oily texture and an astringent finish. Taste is sour and not that complex considering the alcohol strength.

Bottle at Papsø. Hazy red-brown coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, dried fruits, oak and berries. Fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits, oak and berries. Fruity finish.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange to brown with a small white head. Aroma is cherry to raspberry fruity. SMooth malty, fruity, light citric to mild acidic. Smooth sweet to toasted malt base. Ends mild citric and yet light sweet.
