COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This straw colored beer greets with an aroma of noble hops, pears and Belgian esters. The flavor follows nicely with a moderately spicy hop and Belgian yeast effect buoyed by a soft malt body. The finish is crisp and dry. We enjoy this beer with spicy foods, grilled steaks, grilled chicken and mandarin salad. Where you take it is only limited by your imagination.

White Birch Belgian Pale Ale. Cloudy light yellow. Saison aroma. Dry foamy fast fading head.

Poured a hazy yellow white color with a thin head. The aroma was of acetone. It smelled like magic bubbles. Tart dull flavor that was acidic on the back of the throat. Something is a miss.

Courtesy of markwise. It pours hazy sandy straw with thin white head. The aroma is skunky, moldy, heated, fuzzy with mold limes that you wish would just go away. The taste begins thin and refreshing and sweet then moving into notes like roting citrus fruit, moldy citrus gag bile and moldy citrus fuzziness. Interesting. I think I like it.

Wow. The ratings are really divided on this one. I thought it was a standout. Pours like white grapefruit juice with a white head. Nose is tart citrus, sugar, and some acetone. Flavor is citrus, sugar, and tartness with hints of boozy acetone. Finishes with lingering tartness. Similar qualities to a good berliner weiss.

After reading some of the ratings, I thought that this wasn’t the beer that I tried. I guess I had a "good" bottle. Pours light orange. Nose is mild earthy hops, tart acidity, sour grapes and unripe fruits. Flavor was sharp acidity, sour fruits, tart cherry, funk and HUGE lactic sourness. In hindsight, I this bottle was heavily infected, but I think it worked as a sour ale oddly enough. Happy accident? I guess based on style and quality, it doesn’t deserve high marks at all, but based on initial taste, I actually really enjoyed this but I’m really confused. Was this supposed to be sour?

Courtesy tasting group--thanks! :) Light white head atop a very pale yellow with little lacing. The sourness kicked like a mule. Lots of odd aromas I couldn’t quite put my finger on.

( 22oz bottle ) Pours a cloudy pale yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, herbs, light butter, and weed. Flavor of citrus, peach, herbs, grass, and wood.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2009 Batch Seven. Pours very pale gold into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention leaves spotted sheets as it recedes to skim surface. Lemon joy and mild hop aromas. Flat plastic and sour summer fruits - huh?. Dry, abrupt finish. Boy, did I want to like this more...

Very, very pale beer with a touch of haziness on the pour. Oily nose with lots of acetone and rancid coriander character. Spoiled fruit, rotted malt and a harsh spicey extract. No redeeming qualities to speak of.

Bottle at Pauls. Pours a white gold body with a white head. Smells like curdled milk and lemon grain puke. Regurgitated grain and dank moldy mess. Horrid.
