Taste is moderately sweet, espresso grounds, some bittersweet chocolate, faint earthiness. Watery medium body, alcohol well contained, but thatís not really a positive here.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium sweet roasted coffee malt flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is an average beer for stlye.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: The pour is nearly black with an abnormally large tan colored head.
S: A strong roasted malt note along with quite a lot of coffee. A bit of dark chocolate in there too. Not terribly complex, but it is as advertised.
T: I pick up a little bit of acidity to this one, could be the coffee, could be the roasted malt, or perhaps an infection. Quite roasty with lots of coffee and bitterness.
M: The body is definitely on the thin side and the carbonation is much too high, further backing up my thought that this one my be infected (three signs of it already).
D: A decent imperial stout, but a little too one note for me, and the possible infection doesnít help either.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 15/516 thanks to t0rin0. Pours with a tan head over a black body. Aromas are roasty, espresso, coffee, acrid, fudge and very earthy (too earthy). Flavors are very thin, watery, infected and just plain unappetizing. Lightly acidic and quite boozy. Medium bubbles. Leaves you desperately NOT wanting another sip.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber, bottled 4/16/10, #343 of 516. Poured deep brown with a decent cap of dark tan head. The aroma picked up sweet espresso, vanilla, and other buttery dark malts.. very, very sweet with not a lot of roast.. alcohol was totally hidden. The flavor opened smoothly, with buttery dark malts surrounded by roasty coffee bitterness.. some sour oak and ashy black malts showed on the back-end.. not bad overall, but the progressions didnít work so well. Medium-bodied with moderate roast & bitterness on the palate.. hid the booze well.. as mentioned, it didnít flow so well.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Wash. DC tasting.
dark brown, mocha head.
Can never go wrong with espresso and beer, right?
deep roasted profile, some hints of smoke/burnt coffee beans with tasty espresso flavors and nose though most of this fizzle out to be just too thin.
Doesnít drink like a 10% beer and at times feels a tad on the light side, mild bitter finish of chocolate and light hops.
