2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Plenty of grass and plastic, so if that’s your thing, you’re in luck! This experiment succeeded only marginally. Some redeeming character in here, but the bitterness (the plastic note, I mean) is off and really brings the beer down.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2011 Pours out of the bottle a liquid that looks like cloudy lemonade with a head on it. Honestly this bottle sat in my fridge for a week after bought it, and I’ve had stouts that were easier to see through. Giant fluffy white head quickly dissipates and leaves a fair bit of lace. Smells a bit of lemon and Belgian yeast esters maybe some coriander and white pepper for good measure. Taste is lemony and sweet wheat malts with loads of yeasty esters. Slight pepper and other non descript spices round out the flavor. Medium to thin body, spirited level of carbonation, tart citric mouthfeel. This tastes like the Belgian Pale ale to me, with maybe a hint more tartness to it.
