3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz bottle. I think itís a little older than intended. Pours a hazy deep brown with minimal head (a lot of the carbonation is gone). Pretty standard Belgian ale, slightly spicy, but a but tougher to drink than I was expecting. I wouldíve liked to have tried it when the hops were a little more pronounced.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy amber with a huge foamy head. The aroma has a bit of fruit with some bread. The flavor is similar with a dry crisp finish. A little bland for the style but a decent beer notwithstanding.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/23/12, Bottled 12/11; Batch 12
Aroma: The nose has a lot of sweet malts, some caramel, spice, clove, yeast/bread, and floral hops
Appearance: This one pours an unclear dark caramel color with a thick beige head and medium lace
Flavor: Tastes fairly sweet, with a good amount of caramel, a little spice and fruit, and light bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning full, with average carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish
I thought this was a solid beer, but not a particularly impressive one. I wanted it to be a little more IPA-like based on the description, but I just ended up with a very slightly hopped-up Belgian.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Canalís Berlin. Pours out a surprisingly under carbonated rusty/muddy copper color with no head. Aroma is caramel malts, faded hops, despite the fact the bottling is only a month old. Beer has little to no body, like water. Thankfully the flavor improves a bit, a good dose of hops, light caramel and some fruity notes. Overall the flavor is there, but seems faded, the rest needs some work.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The beer poured a hazy golden brown with a white head. Not surprising given its status as a mixture of Belgian and West Coast style beers. The scent was an intriguing mixture of piney hops, grapefruit, and honey, that while not necessarily entirely pleasing to me did strike me as interesting.
The mouthfeel was fairly smooth, though it had a heaviness to it that I have some trouble fully explaining. There was a strong spicy hop foretaste that slowly turned to milder piney hops. The beer then shifts to a taste of delicious fruits and honey, ending on this sweetness with a standard hop after bite. My nose trick did help bring out the fruit and honey more, revealing that the fruit seemed to be apples and cherries, but this was very mild.
