Bottle shared by sonnycheeba. Pours cloudy and particulate brown with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine hops, pear and apricot esters with cookie and straw malt. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with supporting malt, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An opaque amber body with a white head that had some retention and no lace. Citrus and pine hops some sweet malt notes. Some mild yeast. Flavor seemed unbalanced. The bitterness and grapefruit flavors seemed to conflict with the sweet malt which were close to sweet bread. Finish was smooth and the carbonation seemed a little higher.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Belgian IPA. Slightly hazy honey color with a uneven medium white head. Aroma is a bit odd almost a English fuggle hop with some west coast rain fresh qualities. It is more east coast, refreshing, and tasty, yet not what I would associate with a Belgian ale, even an IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared with Parksy and Grippitis. My label sys Belgian IPA on it. Anyway, it is a hazy orange-tinted golden brew that has a spicy zing to its moderate hoppiness. Quite nice.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2013 Not too bad for an IPA. Bitter but not overly bitter. Not my favorite. Fifteen characters to go.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a slightly hazy ruddy amber with a small off white head. Pine and citrus hops in the nose with a hint of Belgian yeast. The flavor is hop forward. Slight fruitiness with notes of pale malt, light caramel, and slight resins. Light to medium body with spritzy carbonation and a medium finish. Pretty solid brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Cellars in Roseville, MN. Buyer beware, I guess. I asked the beer guy how long they have had this and they said 3 weeks - but I am skeptical based on other reviews and the mustiness of the aroma. Too bad - I used to love and trust this store. Anyway - Aroma is mild herbal hop notes with a strong vegetal character, some tartness. Flavor has rich malt complexity, but is weakened by a washed out bitter flavor of old hops. Overall - this was probably a great Belgian style IPA when it was fresh - I wonít discredit the brewer for the liquor store/distributor problem.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Malty, fruity aroma has a strong woody hop overtone. Pours a beautiful clear chestnut with a very thick, fine-bubbled and rather persistent buff head. Woody hops dominates the fruity flavor, with malty and resiny hints and some green-wood bitterness. Smooth, firm texture leaves a persistent fizz and a hoppy, woody finish. Let this one get its Hooks(ett) in you.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 ounce bottle, bottled March 2013 (8.5% ABV stated on label). Served in a DFH Signature glass, the beer pours a hazy reddish/copper color with about an inch light tan head that stayed around a little while. Thereís also a lot of lacing. The brew smells like citrusy and pine hops, bready malt, dark fruit, and a bit of peppery spice. It tastes like citrusy and herbal hops, bready malt/dark bread, dark fruit, and some caramel malt. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit coating and has moderate carbonation. I think itís a good overall brew. Iíd buy it again at $6.99 a bomber.
