1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
A hazed gplden amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, strong band aid, solvents, spent matches and boiled asparagus. In mouth, a really infected malt with rubber and pepper, coriander, awful. Tasted with GRM, Probstblueribbon and Ian, July 20 2012.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Relatively mild aroma with malt, yeast and bubblegum. Taste is sweet with candy sugar, bubblegum, and a little smoke. Not awful, but certainly not worth seeking out.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(22 oz. bottle (batch 3, March 2011 I believe it said) from Bootleggers) Pours hazy reddish amber with a few fingers of off-white head. Aroma of sweet and sour fruity candy, cherry?, caramel-vanilla. Mouthfeel smooth, sticky-ish. Flavor is sweet, cloying, artificial cherry-fruit candy, caramel. Alcohol not well-covered. Very little sign of hops except the slightest bitter pinch in the finish. A bit of dark chocolate and licorice kind of pops up in the end as well. Pass.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Batch 1 3/3/2010 sampled 4/15/2010
Pours a slightly hazy deep golden straw kind of color with an impish bubbly white head that dissipates quickly to a ring and leaves some lace on the way down. The aroma fills my nostrils with a spicy rye bread character, some clove phenols, hints of lemon and apples or pears. Taste is a little sweet with honey and brown sugar mixed up with some rye bread and spice. I get some pomaceous fruit especially as she warms. Lingering pepper and rye in a moderately dry finish. Moderate carbonation, medium body, light, slick mouthfeel. I rather enjoyed this one. Bill’s beer’s seem to follow a subtle/light and extremely drinkable pattern and this one is no exception. 10% alcohol is virtually impossible to find. Great brew!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a two finger white head that fades quickly leaving traces of lace. Ugly murky brown color, with some yeast left in bottle. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Fruity nose and flavor is fruit that is neither tart nor sweet. Good but not a Belgian strong ale. Higher ABV (label has 7.0%) is hidden. Bottled Dec 10, 2010, batch 4. $9.49 for a 22oz bottle, from Concord Cooperative Concord, NH.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled on December 10, 2010 Batch 4 Bottle Count 768. Deep, dark brown poor. Looks kind of like coffee. A thin ring of white head, producing a nice thick layer of lace. Aroma is faint. Taste is a fig or prune in character, with a rye bread backbone. Either way, you get a dark fruit flavor. Nothing super complex, simple and easy to drink. I think people have rated this really harsh or, a batch was infected. Still not something I have to run out and buy again, BUT It is different and would drink if given to me. Shared with LiteWait.
