Cask Stillage at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 03/08/2010 Coffee roast aroma. Black a little rich on the palate strong in alcohol and hoppy with a hint of dryness in a bitter coffee roast finish.

Unlabeled bottle at the brewery, courtesy of Steve, shared with SHIG. Not sure if this is the right stout, since there is one other. Very dark brown color, medium tan head with solid lacing. Aroma of mild cocoa and cafe au lait. Taste is smooth, cocoa and weak American coffee. Light body. Nice dry, mild stout.

Cask@GBBF2010. Deep amber colour, small beigeish head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some spices, herbs as well as some liquorice. Flavour is liquorice, some roasted malts, coffee and mild spicyness. Pleasant and balanced stout.

Cask at GBBF 2010 ... black ... soft chocolate roast nose ... sweet vanilla roast malts ... little chocolate ... quite sweet ... light charcoal ... very easy drinkin

Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2009. Dark brown coloured with a lacing beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of caramel, chocolate and liquorice with notes of smoke. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel, coffee and liquorice with notes of smoke. Roasted finish.

Draft. A dark brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malts combined with chocolate. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of chocolate and roasted malt, leading to a dry and bitter finish, where the chocolate note lingers.

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2009 Draught at KØ09. Good roasted aroma. Dark brown colour, quite cloudy. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is nice and sweet, some sweet liquorice. Mild roasted aftertaste, low bitterness. 7 3 7 3 15

Draught at KØ09. Good roasted aroma, some fresh coffee. Black colour. Big stable creamy brown head. The flavour is nicely roasted with a mild coffee note. Faint hint of smoke in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel, slightly thin though. 7 4 7 3 16

CBF09. Draught. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Coffee notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Nice chocolate notes. Modrate bitter long finish. Syruply palate.

Bottle. Black beer with a strong bubbly head. The aroma is gently roasted and dry, and the flavour is deeply roasted and slightly rich. Overall a reasonable beer.

Bottle with an interesting label. Dark and pored with a big head which took what seemed like a life time to dissipate. But it was well worth the wait. Dry with a subtle bitter finnish this is a very pleasant stout.
